I don't see Pat Riley saying no to giving permission. He seems pretty secure in his relationship with his coach and his ability to replace him if necessary.

And we should offer more. If we aren't interested in that then we aren't interested in competing. Not having a good coach (who will help us to be as/more competitive as we have been) will cost us far more than paying a top flight coach.

You've convinced me!

HIRE PAT RILEY as HC and Billups, Hammon, and Udoka as assistants. Let Riley coach for a year then fire Olshey and make him GM! He can pick his coach from our assistants.

It would be like the NBA's version of The Bachelor. "And the winner of the coaching rose is..."
 
Hopefully his bags are packed and his stench has left the city. Can’t happen soon enough from my perspective. Stotts’ unprecedented tenure may be talked about for years as a cautiounary tale of how a bad (terrible?) coach can squander the prime of a once-in-a-generation talent like Lillard.
 
Terry has been a class act and has left us with countless stories of what an awesome person he is. This thread is stupid and over the top. Oh yeah fuck commies and that stupid hacker show. And Nurk is a soft bitch. Hugs. Did I do it right?

Class act or not doesn’t discount the fact that he was a terrible terrible terrible basketball coach. The moderate success he had was solely based on having a generational talent on his team to cover up his strategic flaws.

The title of this post is so over the top though, it's as if Terry was terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible, and not just terrible terrible terrible.

According to Spurs players, she commanded respect. You can always question whether she will at another job position, but that's a perfectly good endorsement to me.

Lillard doesn't strike me as the type who would fail to give a head coach respect because she was a woman, and he's the leader of the locker room.

A couple of threads were merged into each other because both were about the same thing. Grilled Cheese was probably referring to a thread title before it got merged in.
