Hey DuckWing, if you’re going to make these can you at least post their averages so far. SOME of us work and haven’t been able to watch!

Alright. I added the points, rebounds, and assists stats to the roster list.

I saw the word Spurs and had an immediate competitive reaction. Then I was like, oh yeah, summer league. Haha. Then I thought, it's still the Spurs, and the feeling was back.

Lonnie Walker IV is very talented and Jake is going to have his hands full with him.

Same. That, plus I've been surprised at how in control he's been and how poised he seems.

Agreed. I was surprised how comfortable he looks out there. Not rushing, but appropriately aggressive. Seems to take good shots, seems have have at least a clue on defense and uses his quickness well already. There is a lot more to see, and a lot will change before the season starts, but he looks like he could see real minutes this year. Most of that depends on how Curry plays though. If Curry kills it, then Simons will have to wait.

I like what I see out of WBIV and Layman also, I just expected their production. Baldwin is doing exactly what he should do, lead the team and fill the stat sheet. Completely shutting down Trae was just icing on the cake. Same with Layman. Layman is hitting his threes and using his athleticism. I just hope both translate to the regular season. If Baldwin can do that in regular season, and Layman can hit threes and defend as a backup SF then the team really could be better.

Collins is defending well and trying some new things. Work in progress and I'm glad he is working in the post more as he likely won't be doing that during the regular season much.

Voted PapaG. I did not expect him to be that bad. Wasn't sure what to expect from Simons so am very pleasantly surprised but definitely expected something from PapaG. I'd rather have Meyers on a bad contract than PapaG on any contract.

Gramps...

Poll:
Good: Layman. I've been saying that he's not an NBA player without being a much better shooter. So far, so good.

Bad: Biggie. I'm a Biggie supporter, but he's getting his shot blocked and turning the ball over way too much.

I excepted the rooks to be good and they are. I expected Collins and Baldwin to be fantastic, and they have been.

I chose BIV. I didn't realize how athletic he is. He's very poised on offense. Doesn't seem to get rattled and he's got that DOG in him. I was very impressed with his distribution vs Atlanta. He showed a completely different side of himself. He can be a scorer who relentlessly attacks the basket with a variation of spin moves and hesitation dribbles or be the catalyst on offense getting all of his teammates involved, all while playing chest to chest, long armed, lockdown defense.

Trae Young led the country in points and assists. Baldwin's defense made him look like not an NBA player. Impressive, most impressive.

Just curious, other than shooting (mainly the 1-8 in game 1) what else is terrible about Collins so far?
His movement on offense looks clunky and methodical. I don't see the fluidity I was expecting against this competition. He's forcing shots and rushing. Given that he actually got substantial playoff minutes for a rookie, I was hoping he'd be better in this setting.

It's like you're watching a different game. Do you think Swanigan is Collins?

I know it is only 2 games, but if they are expecting to have Zach be a major part of our rotation and help this season (since they let Ed walk, I’m assuming this is the plan), he has not impressed. He is playing against garbage players, the majority who won’t even make an NBA roster this fall. He should be killing the competition down there. Bit frustrated. We saw flashes of brilliance. I think another couple of seasons banging against Ed would really have helped. I know he’s young, but damn.

Elite defense and the fact that he is actually shooting good shots (creating the separation thanks to fluid foot work) that are just not falling.
If you say so. It's high time for actual results. This is the kind of stuff we used to preach about Martell Webster.

Especially if guys like Kevin Love (bonafide all star) are available in a trade and we don't want to move Collins.
