Malcolm Thomas, #22 for the Jazz, is very good. Does excellent work as a PF, even though he's a little undersized. Could be a Dante Cunnningham type of player.

Exum is easily the best player I've seen in SL so far

Yay summer league... where... no wait, it doesn't mean shit.

His first-step and his ability to get to the rim - I really do see the Westbrook comparison.
So apparently CJ had one bad shooting half in the first summer league game of the season. Guy's a worthless bum, clearly.
I just find it hilarious that people say "Oh, he'll be the best of the class" after 1 game when it's a game that A) doesn't mean anything. and B) It's against mostly bench players and players that are trying to get into the 15th spot on the bench.
Yeah, but you can usually tell who has the tools to be a great player based on how they play. Exum has elite NBA speed, quickness, passing ability. His statline wasn't even that good. Guys like Bayless dominated SL, but he did it in a way that no one thought was sustainable in the actual league.
He's still very much a project, but for anyone that watched him play, how could you not get excited about how good he can become?
Or because it is high school, or college, or the fucking globetrotters. Nothing is the NBA regular season so nothing else matters? Why even watch?Because it's the Summer League.

PS, I think everyone knows it is summer league.
It is just summer league. TRob fucking around doesn't matter. Hmm, seems I have heard this point made before.....Going into summer league I was most intrigued by what CJ and Robinson would do.
Overall, I was happy with CJ as I thought he played well. He showed good defense and was able to get open. I was definitely disappointed he didn't shoot better, though.
I was thrilled with Robinson for a while. He confidently took and swished midrange shots, was active, hit FTs, rebounded, provided energy. However, he also had 5 turnovers, missed an all alone dunk trying a double pump reverse instead of simply dunking, and then he fouled a 3 point shooter to which Stotts literally facepalmed.
I have high hopes for Robinson, but I really wonder when or if this dumbassery will ever end.

I get that he hasn't shown anything yet. All I expect of him is to be a decent 6th or 7th man. But I'm not going to give him the amount of rope I give Leonard. CJ needs to be a ball player by the end of this season. To be fair, he shot pretty badly last summer league as well.

Just say it like it is
The bench is still going to suck next year
Nice of Olshey to punt next season before it started. The Blazers are basically the same team.
