If Harkless develops to be the starter why not keep Aminu to come off the bench? He's under a very reasonable contract.
That reasonable contract is why I think his trade value will exceed his actual value. Of everyone on our roster he's the easiest to let go while maximizing what we get in return.
I don't think he's a good spark plug off the bench because he's awful with the ball in his hands.

Spotrac has a comprehensive list.

You can view the players by team, position, and type of free agent.
That's fantastic--SO much better than Hoopshype's list.

Solomon Hill, Kevin Seraphin, E'Twaun Moore, and Robert Sacre all look like low-cost players with potential that I wouldn't be surprised to see Neil pursue for a bargain. All UFA's who make less than $3M this year and aren't likely to command high salaries going forward.

You want an under-the-radar name? How about Jon Leuer? 6'10" PF that is a career 39% 3pt shooter (over 40% this season), and is also a pretty decent rebounder. Sounds like a great Meyers Leonard replacement.

(Somewhat) Under the radar guys that I like are:

Greivis Vasquez (not sure there is a huge need here but he has always been criminally underrated imo)
Mirza Teletovic (Stotts' loves PFs that can shoot from deep)
Trevor Booker (was surprised that he isn't older than 28 - he would only be deep bench filler)
Ian Mahinmi (This guy is probably on a LOT of teams' lists of guys they want though) My number 1 underrated target if I am Oshley though.
Mario Chalmers (only if he came cheaper than Vasquez)
Jordan Hill (A bit undersized if you want to play him at C but there isn't much to pick from at this position)

Was going to put him on my list that I just did but put the other shooting big they have in PHX instead.

If Horford bails, Hawks will probably sign Howard.
I can see that because of it being his hometown. However, does Howard want to win or get paid to be a first/second round and out player for the rest of his career?

I think Howard to Miami (if Bosh can get his blood clots figured out) may be a last hurrah type move for all players involved there and it could be special.

3 firsts for Middleton??? Jesus man... Even if they're late that's an overpay
No it's not. Itd be the two 2018 picks (which will be 25-30), and the Aminu going somewhere else for a 1st which we'd send till Milwaukee. After this year, we'd have firsts in every year but 2018.
Middleton is the type of guy that could take us to that next level, as he's the perfect fit next to Dame and CJ based off his play style (Elite 3 and D), attitude, and age.
Trading Aminu in the package would only lose us $7M. Hell, Id include As of they wanted him, as that would clear us more space. Could you imagine having $40M+ to add to a core of Dame+CJ+Middleton+Crabbe? Yes please. We could sign Ryan Anderson and Al Horford and be the best 3 point shooting team in NBA history, with a top 10 defense and a great bench. Or we could save/strike out and save that money for 2017.

Aminu and the two 2018 firsts seems like a very real possibility for both teams.

Git 'er done, Neil.

I would not give up 2 first and Aminu for Middleton just to much. Plus PA loves the draft so I don't see that happening.

It's time for the Blazers to become more of a veteran team. We don't need more draft picks.

I would be good with Horford. I still think we need a small forward that can score. I really like Chandler Parsons, and I think he might be attainable after the Mavs get smashed in the first round.

I think if Crabbe started, he could do everything Parsons is doing.

Plus, Crabbe is only 23 (seriously, I forgot this, like I thought he was 25) and Parsons is already 27.

Maybe we concentrate on retaining Harkless and Crabbe this offseason, and go after Steven Adams in 2017.

Given how young all three of Noah, Crabbe, and Harkless are, we might as well let them grow. Leonard too if he doesn't take more money to go be somewhere else.

Probably the best course of action. Harkless is def a keeper.

Although RFA's - Festus Ezeli and Jordan Clarkson would be worth keeping tabs on, IMO. (as long as FE comes back healthy)

What would--in your mind--be a reasonable price for Middleton that Milwaukee would actually be willing to accept?
