Instead of trading for Middleton just wait for Montero to develop lol you laugh now but with this coaching staff he's probably the next Tmac hahaha

What would--in your mind--be a reasonable price for Middleton that Milwaukee would actually be willing to accept?

How many Buck players have we wanted desperately to trade for in the Last 3-4 years?
Sanders, Henson, Middleton, Giannis, Monroe....

You would think the way we covet their players they would win more than they have.

Their pieces don't mesh at all.

(Somewhat) Under the radar guys that I like are:

Greivis Vasquez (not sure there is a huge need here but he has always been criminally underrated imo)
Mirza Teletovic (Stotts' loves PFs that can shoot from deep)
Trevor Booker (was surprised that he isn't older than 28 - he would only be deep bench filler)
Ian Mahinmi (This guy is probably on a LOT of teams' lists of guys they want though) My number 1 underrated target if I am Oshley though.
Mario Chalmers (only if he came cheaper than Vasquez)
Jordan Hill (A bit undersized if you want to play him at C but there isn't much to pick from at this position)
I've liked Mirza & Ian; only problem/potential problem would b their ages: Mirza 30 & Ian 29. I'm not ultra-"Jazzed" about Trevor but I wouldn't fight him coming here (he's 28).

No matter what though, no matter who we get, especially if it's 1 of ^ 3, don't overpay for them/get locked into them for too long; these guys can all help us but if it takes overpaying to get them, forget it. There r only a few guys that would b worth overpaying for; as the players become attainable, I'll let u know then if they're worth overpaying for (i.e. IF a PG13 or Jimmy Butler became REAL possibilities, THESE guys would be worthy!)

Really starting to warm to the idea of pursuing Chandler Parsons this summer. I know he's gonna get full max, and Cuban will offer the full 5-years with 7.5% raises, but if he can see how much better his title chances will be by coming here, we might have a shot.

Parsons isn't a defender though. I'd rather continue developing Crabbe. If we are going to go after a SF I would honestly rather go after Batum...

He has knee issues. No thank you. Batum is better and doesn't have as serious of an injury history.

Been pumping the bring back Nic thing for a while now-- he'd fit in seamlessly with this roster.

Prior to going to Dallas, Parsons had a rep as a pretty decent defender. His D rating is better than the his team's average, which suggests that he's better defensively than he's given credit for. I certainly don't disagree with continuing to develop Crabbe, and hope to see him stick around as the third guard (although I still think we'd be better with him starting and CJ playing 35mpg off the bench), but I don't see how that would clash with bringing Parsons in to start at SF.

Batum is better? How is Batum better? He's an overrated defender; he's an inconsistent scorer; he's a poorer shooter.

Batum gets more rebounds/assists, but Parsons is a much more efficient scorer, and has a better Ortg/Drtg comparison. And yes, Parsons had a knee injury, and he's come back from it completely. Take a look at his performance since New Year's. And it's not as though Batum doesn't have a checkered injury history.

What about Barnes? He looks completely unworthy of a max every time I watch the Warriors, but there has to be some reasoning behind why all these pundits say the guy will get PAID. Maybe it's true that all he needs is an opportunity?

Very possible. I just hate the idea of pursuing RFA's.

I love the idea of Parsons, and I think he's one of the few guys who could be convinced to leave his current situation. Dallas does not have a bright future.

Can Parsons pass as well as Nic? Batum would be a 3rd creator out of the P&R for us. Not sure Parsons can carry that responsibility. And CP had what was called a "hybrid microfracture." Ya I know it's silly to give too much credence to this, but with our history, I'd run the other way just because of that microfracture word.

Between Dame and CJ, I'm not sure we need another ball handler.

No SF aside from Lebron or Draymond can pass as well as Nic. However, IIRC Nic was often guilty of tossing a lot of lazy passes around. He turns the ball over nearly twice as much as Parsons does. Their A/TO ratios are basically identical (Batum 1.703, Parsons 1.697).

Hellllllll no to batum.

At least Parsons is something new. And honestly I've liked Parsons game more than batum for awhile.

People only seem to remember the good about him. I remember him being inconsistent and extremely frustrating. To make matters worse, the dude is going to get maxed out. No thanks.

Reason:

He's Harrison FUCKING Barnes.

People at the beginning of the year were chest thumping when he started out well saying he is amazing and a lock for an all star.

Funny how that talk completely died off and batum is back to his inconsistent ways

He can't sustain it. He never has. That's what is so frustrating. He has all that talent but he has never been able to really harness it. It's like he only plays well when he really feels like trying. If you put Dame's drive and determination into Batum, he could be a LeBron or a Kevin Durant.

Parsons is a great offensive creator as a third option; better than Batum although each have their skills. I'd be very interested in bringing him in if his knee is healthy.

Completely agree. And this year he has no "divorce" or "wrist" excuses to fall back on.

I always found it annoying how one game he'd decide he was going to pass, so he'd get like 8-10 assists. Or another game he'd decide to be aggressive on offense, so he'd score 30. He could just float and almost get a triple double.... but he just never had the drive to do it every game. His defense was also extremely overrated. He has the tools, and he could definitely lock someone down if he wanted to, but again..... no intensity or drive to do it every game.

14.2 ppg, 5.5 assists, 6.3 rebounds, shooting 41% and 34% from three with a PER of 14.3.

That sounds like max money production right there?

I really like the Idea of Parsons if were going to chase a SF. I'd ideally want to keep Crabbe as well and have Crabbe just come off the bench for either CJ/Parsons when its needed.

It sucks, because I am really starting to like Hendo, but I feel like we need more firepower in our starting lineup.
