If I say it 20 times will the analysis improve, in your eyes?

Of course, in your eyes my post has an entirely different meaning than it does to mine, so I'm not sure I should play by the "PapaG Rules of Making a Good Point on the Interwebz".

It does appear that something has broken inside of you this evening, though. Are you OK?

Ed O.

You said Roy couldn't be bothered to recruit free agents. I assume that means he didn't have the best interest of the team in mind when doing so.

Am I mistaken by your post that criticized Roy for his offseason activity?

Why don't we just blame the coach or the GM like most fans instead?

Ed specifically pointed out Roy's lack of involvement this offseason. I addressed that post. Had he mentioned KP, I'd may have responded to his take on that as well. :dunno:

Yep. Roy's the problem. It's "scary" in my head!!!

You're not playing devil's advocate. You're not being intelligible. You're acting like a small child, repeating everything someone says in a mocking manner.

It probably makes you smirk back behind your computer, but it makes me laugh out loud. .... deleted.

I want to take a moment to interrupt your regularly scheduled bitch-fest/forum-meltdown/pointless-argument to recognize the two things that should really be getting us hopeful for the long term future of this team.

1) Oden is getting it done! Holy shit, I know it's only against a Kings and Phoenix frontline that aren't exactly stocked with huge, tough centers, but still, when Dwight Jaynes tweets during the middle of the game that Oden is channeling Bill Walton's ghost (the most jaundice eyed Portland media member I've ever read), something good must be brewing.

2) LaMarcus is reportedly close to inking his long term deal that he's been seeking all off-season, and to celebrate he goes off on Channing and A'mare.

Of course he didn't have the best interest of the team in mind. Do you think he was trying to help the team by going out of his way to say that he didn't help recruit free agents?

Yes. That's why I said, "I don't blame him."

Reading the whole post and assuming someone is being honest are two good ways to get to the actual intent of a post.

You said you think Roy is being selfish, and that it scares you.

Expand on how Roy being "selfish" is going to "scare" you.

1) Hells yes! He's definitely got the moves and quickness now! I'm so f'ing excited to see him in action finally!

2) Indeed, great news! Of course going off on Channing sounds like the title of a porn video, but yeah! Good on LMA!

You're right about the level of opposition, but he has to do it against inferior opponents... MOST of the NBA is inferior to him in terms of physical gifts. I hope that he keeps rolling and gets off to a good start in the regular season.

And he's not 22 until January. So awesome. :)

Would the team have been better off with Hedo?

That's pretty cool. Did he say (tweet) anything else?

Would the team have been better off with Hedo?

According to Kevin Pritchard, yes.

Is it your position that Brandon Roy thought he was HELPING the team by
(a) not providing any assistance in recruiting players, and
(b) then making a point in the media that, due to his lack of an extension, he wouldn't help recruit players?

I suppose that Roy could know more of what's good for the team than KP, so in order to help the team he did those things. But it seems unlikely that he had the team's best interests at heart.

Again: that's fine. He's a grown man, and he should be looking out for himself first.

Although, in the long term, looking out for the team is looking out for himself. But he's not that grown a man, perhaps.

There's really no reason to worry about Roy as he is just adjusting to Miller and finding his rhythm after an off-season of just focusing on conditioning. I'd much rather see Roy struggle in preseason rather than go through September knee surgery and worry about that like last year.

Anybody wanna know what I think about Roy and his struggles so far? No!? Oh, nevermind.

According to Kevin Pritchard, yes.

Ed O.

What about according to you?

Plus, Roy wasn't asked to recruit Hedo, but ignore this fact. Colangelo, as I've posted before, called Bosh and asked him to help recruit Hedo.

Andre Miller just got done playing with a pretty similar player to Roy in Iguodala. I don't think it's Miller that is having the problem adjusting, although I can't say for sure since I haven't seen a single game, but still.

Miller has been around the block and knows what he's doing. Roy is the one still learning all the nuances being that he's only going into his 4th season.

In the end the team will be better for having these two in the backcourt.

I'm concerned because he's "selfish" and didn't help "recruit free agents". :ohno:

If you don't fawn over Miller, you'll be a "troll" as well.

Oden looks AWESOME, by the way. Perhaps Miller was not needed?

Oden looked great once again - too bad we went away from him in the second half. We have to keep pounding teams inside now that we have such a huge weapon on the offensive end!

Outlaw and Roy, however, both looked pretty off.

Just got home from the game. Sucks that we lost, but what a blast being back in the MC!
