It's a country. We moved warships to their coast today.

Just thought I'd mention it.

I blame somebody.

good, now we can finally kill all those terrorists we are in a never ending perpetual war to the death with, they who hate us for our freedom, and would see every one of our infidel bodies blown to bits

oh wait, they are our allies

fuck it

We should just release a movie on youtube depicting the prophet Muhammed and they'll just all eventually wipe each other out.

We're not the world's police.

I read today that the latest poll shows 9% of americans favor intervention.

I really, sincerely, wish we actually would follow that mentality.

That video alone caused 3 people to have their heads chopped off.
Bullshit. Insane asshole extremist animals caused those three people to have their head chopped off. They used the video as an excuse.

you didn't actually look at the video, did you?

When the US bombs Syria, and Russia retaliates, remember that we have the Nobel Peace Prize winner on our side.

We're golden, Pony Boy.

Why not just make Syria our 51st state and give them all citizenship?

It would be far cheaper than invading them.

This kind of makes sense to me, since it would cripple the US economy, and Putin wouldn't have to fire a shot at us.

Saudis offer Russia secret oil deal if it drops Syria

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...Russia-secret-oil-deal-if-it-drops-Syria.html

Saudi Arabia has secretly offered Russian a sweeping deal to control the global oil market and safeguard Russia’s gas contracts, if the Kremlin backs away from the Assad regime in Syria.

The revelations come amid high tension in the Middle East, with US, British, and French warship poised for missile strikes in Syria. Iran has threatened to retaliate.
The strategic jitters pushed Brent crude prices to a five-month high of $112 a barrel. “We are only one incident away from a serious oil spike. The market is a lot tighter than people think,” said Chris Skrebowski, editor of Petroleum Review.

Leaked transcripts of a closed-door meeting between Russia’s Vladimir Putin and Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan shed an extraordinary light on the hard-nosed Realpolitik of the two sides.

Prince Bandar, head of Saudi intelligence, allegedly confronted the Kremlin with a mix of inducements and threats in a bid to break the deadlock over Syria. “Let us examine how to put together a unified Russian-Saudi strategy on the subject of oil. The aim is to agree on the price of oil and production quantities that keep the price stable in global oil markets,” he said at the four-hour meeting with Mr Putin. They met at Mr Putin’s dacha outside Moscow three weeks ago.

“We understand Russia’s great interest in the oil and gas in the Mediterranean from Israel to Cyprus. And we understand the importance of the Russian gas pipeline to Europe. We are not interested in competing with that. We can cooperate in this area,” he said, purporting to speak with the full backing of the US.

A bit ironic, IMO.

WE NEED TO STAY THE FUCK OUT OF THEIR WAR.

Learn from Egypt and Libya.

We have no interest in Syria.

It is a war we won't win.

We can't afford another war.

There are no good guys to support (except the civilian population, and it sucks for them, but they aren't going to win, either).

No matter who we support, both sides will hate us.

If we get involved, I think we're going to see the fundamental change we were promised.

Go Blazers

We can't stop being at war with someone, anyone. Our economy would tank if we did.

Unlike you traitors, I support our troops. If you oppose defending our freedom, move out. If we didn't fight wars, we would lose our cherished freedoms. How did we gain our freedom? War. How did we keep our freedom? War.

The Old Testament is replete with stories of God commanding us to go to war. Heathens have always thought they could live without God. Look where the pacifists are now. Dead in Hell. Look where the warriors are. God has rewarded them.

Yes, the Kurds thought that as well, until the uber-left didn't care about Saddam gassing his own people.

pfft, you obviously don't know how the uber-left thinks. i think you're thinking of centrist democrats like Clinton
