Syria

Okay, that is kinda funny. And by kinda funny I mean pretty stupid of him.

More on Obama's bald-faced lie today. This is just baffling. Does he think that people aren't going to call him on his bullshit? What a coward of a man. He's now putting this on everybody else except his dumb ass.

just more false rumors, PapaG

When Glen Beck starts making sense, I have to question where this country is going in the future.

wow just caught that Putin will give syria a missle shield....we are heading in the wrong dirrection..

What a bunch of morons we have in the media.

WaPost and NYTimes urge military action! They even go so far as to blame Bush for Obama's ineffectual ability to persuade our allies to even cross the street.

The gist of the argument is that we can't let Obama look bad, so let's bomb something.

Meanwhile, all this advance notice has given Syria the time to move its treasures we'd target to public school grounds (bomb those!), and its allies to plan immediate and significant terrorist response should we do the wrong thing.

Bush claimed a stable democracy in Iraq would lead to freedom throughout the region. Maybe he was right, and Arab Spring is democracy breaking out there.

Obama has been president for 5 years. His first move was to go on his apology tour, even speaking to a Muslim audience in now war torn Egypt. All of this mess has come to be in his watch, with the full faith and credit of the nation at his fingertips, and a (ridiculous) Nobel Peace Prize on his mantel.

That red line he drew in the sand has been trampled repeatedly. We can't let him look bad!

It's cute that so many of you think the president calls the shots. Seemingly you're mostly republicans, fully buying into the two-party divide. I have to wonder if you'd support bombing if the current president was a republican - I suspect you would.
Bush, Obama? Different puppets, same puppet master. The only way we can get our country back on track is to stop buying into this ridiculous false Dem/Rep divide that the true powers have used against us. Both parties are owned and run by the banks, corporations, and military industrial complex - the only differences between the parties amount to window dressing.

I don't give two shits about which party in is power, I do not, and would not, support getting involved in the mess in Syria.

I'm surprised Putin didn't invite him to a cage match.

Wtf?

The POTUS calling another world leader a jackass and a dick?

Really? US foreign policy and diplomacy take yet another hit.

I am just stunned. I know oboma is a fool, but what the hell is he trying to do? good gawd......

I don't know what the hell President Obama was thinking. This could have serious consequences.

I could see a pissed off Putin walking away from that conversation on the cell phone saying something like,

"Assad? Putin here. Tell me what you need and I'll have it delivered to the location of your choice within 24 hours. I'll send the advisers you'll need to insure you get the results you're looking for."

Agreed. I didn't support Iraq, I barely supported Afghanistan and while horrible things happened in Syria (hello, Africa on line 2), it's not our job. That's what the UN is for. Hell, it's not even our hemisphere.

Um...you guys both know that page is satire, right?

it was a satire

The jackass lectures Putin about being a jackass!
Obama’s ego has been out of control for a long time. The man suffers from a condition where he becomes a legend in his own mind. President Obama seems completely oblivious to who the real jackass truly is in the Syria issue. He may be advised to use a mirror.
President Putin is in fact getting more and more support around the world, as the smarter and more capable man. Something Obama lost several years back, around the time he was issued a Nobel Peace price for doing – absolutely nothing. Obama is one of the most despised U.S. president’s in American history. A gnome rather than Mount Rushmore material.
Meanwhile Iran has threatened to rape one of Obama’s children over his Sunni support to bomb Syria. Syria is defending itself against islamist invasions, funded and lead in secret by Sunni Arabs, who have pressured for attacks on Syria for the past 2-3 years with support from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey and Jordan. Incidentally one of the rebel arrests for possession of chemical gas made a few months ago, took place in Turkey. Surely Erdogan was disappointed that one of his police officers was diligent in the Southern part of his country, and actually arrested and thwarted one of his rebels.
Enjoy the fun by the Borowitz report!

I don't know if I should laugh, or feel pity for anyone who thought this was real. Or even based in any kind of reality.

You guys made me rep jlprk. And I don't take kindly to that!

the sad truth is that oboma is capable of such stupidity

the sad truth is that oboma is capable of such stupidity

No, it's sad truth that you actually think that. What in his history, has shown he'd do that? What president's history has shown he'd do that? I know we love going to websites or listening to radio shows that back our views, but seriously, maybe it's time to have a reality check.

I thought that Bush was (and is) a complete idiot, but even with my dislike of the man I wouldn't say something stupid about him like that. Dude, take off the blinders.

Ok, I guess jlkjll; got me.

Note to self. Need to fact check whatever that dork posts.

I just fact checked because IF he said it, it would've been HUGE news. Like, all day, and of all posters, he wouldn't have been the one who posted it. Plus, it'd out of character for Obama. If anything, the people who voted for him wish he showed that much balls.

Yeah, those are on par with him talking to a world leader and calling him a jackass and dick.

You honestly think those are on the same level?

It must be difficult to grasp and those straws.

It goes to show the nature of the echo chambers. The left believes in some caricature of W that is based on a cartoon like character built up by talking bullshit about him. The right believes Obama is a Muslim born in Africa, talking bullshit about him.

Has anyone on this board said the President is a Muslim or born in Africa in say, the last year or two? I don't read all the threads, but I don't recall much of that at all.
