I was WAY off with my 39 win prediction. Guess I was in my homer mode when I made that pick.

The tank distilled the predictions....my lucky number 54 is going to pay off next season...count it!
Also when Kevin Durant and Kyrie get traded to the west it changes things a bit as well. Those guys were in the eastern conference when we made predictions, etc

Nah, my 39 win prediction had a possible tank job in the determination of said prediction.
 
I love reading other message boards. Raptors fans convinced we give them the pick if it doesn't get POR the 1st. The want the pick, Sharpe, and Ant for Siakim, then they draft Scoot. I wouldn't trade that pick for anyone barring Giannis. Take the BPA always. You don't tank and trade the fucking pick when your organization depends on the draft.
 
i caught some of the Wemby game this afternoon.

holy hell, this kid is madness. a foul drawing machine, missed his first three FTs, but hit 13 straight after. 16 FTAs is amazing. I saw some comps to Porzingis and this is another distinction-- Wemby tries to and successfully draws contact.

put up an efficient 25/11/4 with 3 blocks and 2 steals but had a game winner dropped in his grill by some really short dude on the other team. he was still able to switch and get a great contest but his team lost the game.

They think they’re gonna get more for Siakam than most Blazer fans think they would get for Dame.

I would trade #2 and Simons for Siakam. Not Sharpe.

Dame/Sharpe/Grant/Siakam/Nurk would be the best team we’ve had in a loooong time.

I kinda think they need to sweeten it with one of their wings like Thaddeus Young to bolster the bench. Scoot is going to be a superstar in his own right.

“WE”? I thought you bailed on this team a couple months ago.
 
I wholeheartedly disagree. Wemby will not come into the league and simply supplant Giannis, Embiid, Jokic etc. in months. NFW. Give those vets some credit. Don't get your hopes up, I refuse to. 90% chance he goes somewhere else.

It isn't likely that we get him but he will come in ready to contribute. I think he will need a C or a banger of a PF next to him but he will be an impact player on both ends. I don't think he will be a guy being considered for MVP next season but even on a team like ours (if we add him to Dame, Shae, Jerami and a second all star) I think Wemby will be rookie of the year. I do think it is much more likely that we get a pick that we will just move in a package for a high impact proven talent.

That is painful to think about, but besides Eubanks, we do need someone. Nurk's salary could very much be the one traded so again we need another. In this particular scenario, Siakam started at both PG and Center for Toronto in 2021-22, so that is the answer in crunch time IMO. But we either need to figure out if Badji can contribute, or if we need to keep #23 and draft someone.

Getting #2 and having a shot at Scoot would be tough to trade away but for Siakim I would definitely have to think about that one. Really think Scoot is being slept on by the casual fan, he’s got Wade/Russel Westbrook talent. Anything lower than 1-2 (draft pick) it would be no brainer to trade Simons, pick and future pick for Siakim.

Yeah, Scoot is a prize. Anything added to the package IMO is just filler. Toronto does not need a certain player from us, just enough salary to make it work. With 10 million from Scoot's contract, we could use Nurks contract instead of Ant's
(Plus a little filler) I would prefer to keep Ant and have him come off the bench....unless Toronto demands to include him.
That 23rd pick needs to be PG if they are trading Ant or a center if they trade Nurk. Hopefully, they know before the draft ends.

For me I’d have a hard time trading 2nd pick away, Scoot is pretty damn special player. Anything after 2nd pick I’d be good trading away.
