Beating the Lakers was a bad move! I hope they can pull it together and go on a run. We need them to pass us, otherwise New Orleans might get Wemby

Rockets PG Kevin Porter Jr. has a strained medial Wembanyama in his left foot and may miss the remainder of the season

You make it sound like having Kevin Porter out will make the Rockets more likely to lose, when the opposite is true.

The Blazers are only 4.5 games out of the #5 Lottery spot. They are also only 2.5 games out of the #6 Playoff spot where they wouldn't have to be in the Play-In.

Which direction is more likely? Which would be better for the franchise long term?
Fortunately the answer to both questions is the same.

Outside of us, the only WC team I’d want Wemby to be on is the Spurs. Otherwise, PLEASE have a EC team win the lotto!!
Seen this movie before, The Spurs will get Wemby and he'll get hurt and they will again get the #1 for 2024 draft.

If the Pelicans don't get him.

For his sake I hope he doesn't end up in Charlotte. That franchise is a mess. Spurs really is best case scenario from his point of view (and has a good history with Frenchies). He'll probably end up in Houston, though, just because the universe seems to like giving them great centers with #1 picks. I wonder how he and Sengun will work together. Both of them can just focus on offensive rebounding because there's no way those guards will pass them the ball.

Research, then opine. He's actually been really good this year.

They're 10-30 (25%) with him, 3-14 (18%) without.

I would prefer the #5 lottery spot but I don’t think either will happen.

Well hush ma mouth!

"Research then opine"? Sounds like actual work - fuck that.

if Nassir Little continues scoring 1 freaking point in 30 minutes of action, Blazers will get a fine draft pick.

Yeah, he had a horrible shooting night. They pretty much all did. But he looked good the previous 4 games. Bench players are known to be inconsistent.

His defense is more frustrating to me. I feel like Shaedon is already better than him on that end. And not just his natural athleticism but also bbiq. So tired of Nas getting lost or faked out of his shoes on closeouts.

Yeah, Nassir seems so inconsistent. one night he's a great bench player, the next he's no help to the team.

I love that you've found a refined version of "Learn the game, then post!"
Pretty much the same sentiment.

I recently shot off a post where, relying on memory, I messed up stating that Roy had microfracture surgery when it was Oden. I appreciate that handiman corrected me and the record as alternative facts suck. My old boss used to say Never trust anyone, especially yourself. Double check everything and be sure. I appreciate posters knowing what they're talking about and aspire be one rather then just a blowhard who posts every fleeting thought.

...and to be clear, I am not in any way taking a swipe at Rasta here. He's a favorite.

I think that those who were arguing with my assertion that Little is not an exception athlete probably feel a bit silly now.

Has the dude had a dunk all year? He just seems to float around on both ends of the floor and doesn't look fast nor quick nor springy. He's shot the ball pretty well in stretches but he looks just like a normal NBA guy in terms of athleticism.

You worked at NCIS?

think injuries have hurt him a bit. or he's being more cautious about potential injuries so he's not flying around anymore. he looked like a younger version of Crash his first two years, but has been way more perimeter oriented this season.

People are already talking about picks. Preemptive Tank articles are being published. The draft is months away and Blazer fans are supposed to be getting excited about possible rookies. We need CJ Elleby and Blevins back to make it official. I guess we're supposed to root for the Blazers to lose now. The fun times may be over following the All-Star break. Lose Lose Lose, I think Blazer fans are getting played by the Front Office.

You're free to start a thread talking up their championship drive to save all us lemmings from this evil plot cooked up by the Front Office. Having us watch our team with a more hopeful outlook is probably all thats holding the roster back from Win Win Win

I have been watching clips of this kid and I'm sorry.... he's going to break like a twig. There's no way this dude can hold up in a 82 game regular season.

...anyone else hear that loud rumbling noise thru the gorge? :dunno: That's a tank heading straight for The Rose Moda Garden!

I’d be stoked with 5 and 15(NY), we could get 2 studs in this draft with those picks.
I’d LOVE to have pick 15 but honestly, putting hopes on NY to win one or two play-in games would stress me out like crazy. I’d be happy with where they’re at currently, the certainty of a 1st is better than the possibility at multiple 2nds to me.
