When it goes one way or the other, why would anyone look back and reflect back on what you predicted? If Portland loses every game to the end of the season they'll still have less then a 10% shot at #1... way to go out on a limb

We probably won’t get him but we can get up to the 5th best odds that we do. Those are better odds than this current roster has of winning a playoff series against anyone.

Yep. 5th gives us 10% odds at #1. 538.com says we have a less than 0.1% chance of winning the title. Basic math dictates that we tank and tank hard if we want to become a contender. Let Dame end his season with 3 point title and ASG game winner. He had a good year. Let’s get one more lottery pick.

I don’t think so. Shaedon’s gonna be awesome, maybe better than Dame, and then we add another talent on that level this summer. Then we aim for top 6 seed in 2024 and go for title in 2025 going forward for 10 years! I do think we need a new coach. I also don’t think our title absolutely must be during Dame’s “prime.” He can lead a team with players that are better than him into his late 30s. Think Jason Kidd in 2011 or Tim Duncan in 2014.

Maybe. Not with Chauncey holding him back he won't. I don't have much faith this team is going to be much better in the next season or two. This "quick" rebuild is a fucking joke and a half. I think we will need a different coach. Maybe Dame can, but do we really want to make Dame wait that long?
 
The Blazers probably won't get Wembanyama. Probably have around the same pick as last season. Then they have to draft right. They don't have the best draft record with that.

Just cross your fingers for Wembanyama. He would change EVERYTHING. We deserve him after what happened with Oden. This is from the scouting report on Wembanyama:

Wembanyama seemingly has no weakness in his game. He has a virtually unblockable shot, can create off the dribble, takes and makes one-legged three-pointers, and is a human fly swatter with the ability to switch in pick-and-roll defensive coverage.

We’ve been mostly great at drafting in the lottery. Our last three lottery picks were Dame, CJ, and Shaedon. I guess you can add Collins since we traded up. Oh and Meyers.

I think the weakness is he looks like he’s walking around on a couple of number 2 pencils. After Chet getting hurt(similar body type) my concern is health. Can you imagine if we won the lottery and the big man curse hit again.

I agree, VW is not an option for Portland, but we still need to tank. We are not winning a damn thing this year, so ASSETS are the main goal of this season and the highest pick in the draft possible is what we need.

If they lucked into the #2 pick, the overwhelming consensus is PG Scoot Henderson. Since I feel they need to add talent, I'd have no issue with them drafting the BPA even at a position they're deep at and then balancing the roster with trades.

I'm pretty much always for drafting for talent over need
