So I saw Utah lost today to the Knicks, giving them their first loss of the season.

I decided to check out their schedule. They've had a cake-walk schedule so far. Denver (at home) Clippers (at home), Clippers (road), Portland (home), OKC (home) and Knicks (road).

Not exactly a hard schedule to start off the season with.

There should be some kind of rule where you don't play the same team back to back in a home and home situation, esp if that team is the Clippers. The Lakers took advantage of "playing" the Clippers twice already this year (with Denver being the game between them). They're going into a meatier portion of their schedule now.

That's a good point about Utah and the Lakers.

Now look at the Hawks. They've beaten Orlando, Philly, New Orleans and Toronto to start the year. That is impressive.

Why is our schedule ranked 20th? I guess it's cuz the Spurs have a terrible record.

Though the loss of Smith will hurt a lot.

I don't know, but it seems to be heavily favoring the east (10 of the top 13???). I think that poll isn't ready for the public this early.

We won back-to-back games against the Clipps last season. I don't mind it!

It's because your "strength of schedule" is based on the records of the teams you've played. We've, BY FAR, played the strongest schedule, but the Sagarin rating doesn't reflect that since the Spurs are only 1-4 and the Wolves were only 1-4 when we beat them too.
