21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the LORD God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening.

22Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man.

23“At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’”

24This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.
~Genesis 2:21-24

None of those say anything about marriage.

~Genesis 2:21-24

She lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses. Ezekiel 23:20 NIV

You will be pledged to be married to a woman, but another will take her and rape her. You will build a house, but you will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard, but you will not even begin to enjoy its fruit. Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will eat none of it. Your donkey will be forcibly taken from you and will not be returned. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and no one will rescue them. . . . The Lord will afflict your knees and legs with painful boils that cannot be cured, spreading from the soles of your feet to the top of your head. Deuteronomy 28:30-31,35
Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material. Leviticus 19:19

Ye shall not round the corners of your heads. Leviticus 19:27

When a woman has a discharge, if her discharge in her body is blood, she shall continue in her menstrual impurity for seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening. Everything also on which she lies during her menstrual impurity shall be unclean, and everything on which she sits shall be unclean. Leviticus 15: 19-20

When men fight with one another, and the wife of the one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of him who is beating him, and puts out her hand and seizes him by the private parts, then you shall cut off her hand. Deuteronomy 25:11-12

For the love of god.

You typed "we'll" instead of "well".

You're not really doing yourself any favors here.

What does that have to do with this statement?

You do understand that voting for politicians that agree with your limited interpretation of the bible because you hope they make laws that supporting your views IS "foisting" your beliefs on people, right?

We'll, at least you subscribe to the ol' college try. Carry on.

That's what I was responding to.

"Yes, we all".

We all = We'll

Well ≠ We all.

I get that. Touché, I then moved ahead and responded the the earlier statement you had made.

I believe the Bible is incredibly moral. To my knowledge, it only speaks of marriage as being a covenant between a husband and a wife - male and female.
This is a textbook example of you (advocating for) pushing your beliefs on those around you.

Any law you support based on your interpretation of a religious text is also immoral and evil.

What a senseless response.
No. It's incredibly sensible. It's the only moral response.

This is the problem with getting your perception of right and wrong from a book or temple leader. This is an example of why religion is bad.

Why not use Star Wars as your life guide instead? Lots of good life lessons can be found there. The original trilogy not the blasphemous prequels.

Regardless, separation of church and state.

The Lord God sounds like one fucked up psychopath.

Oh, and there's plenty more!
And you describe all of that as "moral"?

so try maybe, I don't know, responding to that post instead of just responding to the same one over and over?

Or did you just all the sudden go "ha, I was kidding. I meant this OTHER post you made (that doesn't make sense in context of anything I wrote down)."

Again, you're not responding my assertion that you had made a senseless response regarding the topic of "foisting". You simply wanted to deflect. I've been calling you back to the germane content, but you appear to be uninterested.

Here's the exchange:

Great. Where does Jesus condemn it? Where does the Bible say marriage is between man and woman?

The original text uses the word “soft”. The new translations changed it to homosexual. It’s not Christ’s word, it’s people with agendas who’s words some obey

Well, one thing's for certain, it's not your fault.

Look, I'm not going to foist my beliefs on you, not anyone else. I still have every right to believe what I believe, despite the spin cycle you seem to be engaged in.
My problem isn't your beliefs. Or your right to believe. It's that you have been exactly foisting them on you with your antigay remarks, your determination to weigh in on what is NOT your damn business and your repeated proclamation the most important issue for you is FORCING women to carry every pregnancy under every circumstance. Not expressing your unwanted and irrelevant opinion but voting for people who will enact laws to force birth on women. No matter what.

OK, you keep believing that. The fact is, I don't agree with same-sex marriages. So what? If they are legalized, they're legalized. I accept that. Still doesn't mean that I agree with the outcome. No foisting is involved whatsoever. And, if I choose to support and/or vote for someone with my same beliefs, so be it. Last I checked, though, they would have to be voted in by the majority. Again, no foisting involved. Pretty straight forward. No pun intended.

Do please try to keep up

I love when someone does something, then denies they did it and to prove they didn't, they show evidence of doing exactly what they're denying that they're doing.

Real Mensa work there.

If a person doesn't agree with same sex marriage then they can simply not marry someone of the same sex....that's as far as it goes but if a man thinks he can vote away women's rights for any religious or faith based reason...that person is out of line and has no right to contribute to a movement to strip women's rights away no matter what Grand Wazoo you pledge allegiance to. Stay in your lane.....fuck Texas abortion laws

Most would point to the story of Sodom and Gomorrah or Leviticus where it says, "Man must not lie with man."

To Christians the Bible in its entirety is the word of God. To me, it is a book written and edited by men. But, hey to each their own.

this just tells me the celibate monks who wrote the King James Bible preferred sex standing up ....nobody knows more about sexual taboos than celibate monks! Consider for a moment that when the bible was written women were used as trade currency for family fortunes...and had zero rights as far as choosing a mate...yeah...let's follow that path eh? Not.....women throughout history were denied the right to choose...some still are in places like Afghanistan....

Do you believe that gay people can form a family unit and raise children together?

I am a Christian and know the Bible well. Christianity can really be broken into two groups, Old Testament vs New Testament Christians
