I think virgin birth is nonsense but if someone wants to believe it, no skin off my ass. As long as it isn't used as excuse to take away my civil rights.
Bingo.I think virgin birth is nonsense but if someone wants to believe it, no skin off my ass. As long as it isn't used as excuse to take away my civil rights.
This is my problem with Christianity.I really don't understand why girls in christian households don't always try to claim that it was God that got them pregnant.
Daddy, it's a fucking miracle! I'm gonna have Jesus 2.0!
barfo
I'm all good with people believing whatever nonsense they want to believe. Just don't make rules/laws/policies and force people to abide by your delusions.
Like abortion laws...Agreed.
And marriage equality...Like abortion laws...
Someone has apparently been to the Creation Museum in Kentucky……..At least get it right, bro. It's 6,000 years! You know, when dinosaurs roamed the earth?
My brother (agnostic at best, atheist at worst) went out of his way to visit both the museum and the Noah’s Ark Project on the same day. While he found both of them fascinating, at the end of the day he was disgusted with himself for helping to encourage their ignorance. Neither venue is inexpensive…….which tends to ramp up cynicism. Profit before enlightenment…..Wanted to see what real life version of The Flintstones was like.
Nah, I wouldn't spend a dime on that state.
Right, you don't have to agree nor support them. But couldn't you at least get the fuck out of the way so that people can make changes to bring equality for some people? They aren't asking to have more rights than you, just equal. Is equal too much?
And it would be easier for them to get those rights without assholes standing in their way. Assholes have the rights to be assholes, I know. No one is taking away your rights to be an asshole, we're just making suggestions that perhaps you shouldn't be one.

No idea where you're going with that.
So tell me, oh great Christian, are you saying marriage equality kills people like second hand smoke? Or being gay is an addiction like tobacco? Love thy straight neighbors, I guess. They can have all the rights they can get. Still doesn't mean I have to agree with it. Smokers should have rights, too, right? Let one smoke in a booth next to you in your favorite s=restaurant.

And you're entrusting your great nephew, who believes himself to be gay, in the care of such a person? Uncle of the Year material right there.
My mistake. I was meaning to say that he wanted to identify himself as a different sex.
Or he may. Does the thought of Alex going through with it makes you uncomfortable?
There is no such thing as "gay marriage". It's called marriage. And you compared it to something that kills people. Thanks for weighing in. The silly point was that, sometimes rules are made, even when others don't agree, When it comes to gay marriage, I don't agree with it. Certainly doesn't mean it won't (nor doesn't_ happen, though. I live with it.
Also a same sex couple sitting at the booth next to you isn't going to get gay in your lungs, or burn your eyes with their gay, or create impenetrable clouds of gay that make your clothes smell for months. There is no such thing as "gay marriage". It's called marriage. And you compared it to something that kills people.
You realize smoking gives off fumes which kill bystanders right?K, I won't complain when a smoker lights up in the restaurant booth next to me. Thanks for the tip!
Second hand smoke does me harm. They can have all the rights they can get. Still doesn't mean I have to agree with it. Smokers should have rights, too, right? Let one smoke in a booth next to you in your favorite s=restaurant.

These things are not similar in anyway whatsoever.
