I think virgin birth is nonsense but if someone wants to believe it, no skin off my ass. As long as it isn't used as excuse to take away my civil rights.

Incredibly profound response.

I really don't understand why girls in christian households don't always try to claim that it was God that got them pregnant.

Daddy, it's a fucking miracle! I'm gonna have Jesus 2.0!

barfo
This is my problem with Christianity.

Once you've brainwashed somebody into believing that you've got them well on the road to the 3,000 year old flat Earth...

I'm all good with people believing whatever nonsense they want to believe. Just don't make rules/laws/policies and force people to abide by your delusions.

Agreed.

A San Antonio doctor is saying he violated the bounty hunter law. Test case.

I didn't walk into squat. But, hey, that's OK, say that I did. If abortion is legal, Fine. I don't have to agree with, nor support that, though. If gay marriage is legal, then fine. I don't have to agree with, nor support that, though.

Wanted to see what real life version of The Flintstones was like.

Nah, I wouldn't spend a dime on that state.
My brother (agnostic at best, atheist at worst) went out of his way to visit both the museum and the Noah’s Ark Project on the same day. While he found both of them fascinating, at the end of the day he was disgusted with himself for helping to encourage their ignorance. Neither venue is inexpensive…….which tends to ramp up cynicism. Profit before enlightenment…..

Right, you don't have to agree nor support them. But couldn't you at least get the fuck out of the way so that people can make changes to bring equality for some people? They aren't asking to have more rights than you, just equal. Is equal too much?

They can have all the rights they can get. Still doesn't mean I have to agree with it. Smokers should have rights, too, right? Let one smoke in a booth next to you in your favorite s=restaurant.

And it would be easier for them to get those rights without assholes standing in their way. Assholes have the rights to be assholes, I know. No one is taking away your rights to be an asshole, we're just making suggestions that perhaps you shouldn't be one.

BTW, Pericles doesn't believe in God, nor does he particularly care for gays. What's your point?

K, I won't complain when a smoker lights up in the restaurant booth next to me. Thanks for the tip!

So tell me, oh great Christian, are you saying marriage equality kills people like second hand smoke? Or being gay is an addiction like tobacco? Love thy straight neighbors, I guess.

Thanks for weighing in. The silly point was that, sometimes rules are made, even when others don't agree, When it comes to gay marriage, I don't agree with it. Certainly doesn't mean it won't (nor doesn't_ happen, though. I live with it.

And you're entrusting your great nephew, who believes himself to be gay, in the care of such a person? Uncle of the Year material right there.

Alex has never related that he's gay. He had simply said he wanted to be a different sex. And the jury's still out on that.

My mistake. I was meaning to say that he wanted to identify himself as a different sex.

Yeah, and? He just may not want to now. At any rate, it'll be his decision.

I always thought it was funny how the biggest issue many people have with "teh gheys" is that they have butt secks. As in, "don't make me think about you having sex".

Well, I don't want to think about anyone having sex. One of my good friends and his wife have children. As far as I need to know, it was a miracle.

There is no such thing as "gay marriage". It's called marriage. And you compared it to something that kills people.

Some people are too obsessed with the ins and outs of gay people, and is too obsessed with their marriages.

Also a same sex couple sitting at the booth next to you isn't going to get gay in your lungs, or burn your eyes with their gay, or create impenetrable clouds of gay that make your clothes smell for months.

Some people need to look past their upbringing and grow up.

Second hand smoke does me harm.
