National NBA writers know if you hate on Portland you get lots of attention. Attention is everything, good or bad, clicks and responses are all that count.
Back to shitting on turner just disregarding the fact he is coming off an injury
Agree! Though I might buy for CJ and Dame too when Nike takes over. But definitely Jusuf!I generally don't buy current player jerseys (because I'm a cheap bastard) but I may have to make an exception for this guy after Nike takes over Jersey production.
Similar to Whiteside? No. Not even close.
IMO he could be pre-injury Laker Andrew Bynum. He is a legit rim protector with a natural feel on the offensive end.

He's a dumbass. Earlier in the year he was leading the Evan Turner hate brigade and literally his only argument were his +\- stats. Then when he got called out about judging individual players based on a stat like that, he said some bullshit about how he only uses it "in context."
And I'd love to know how he honestly thinks Nurkic is going to nosedive in Portland. It's not like Nurkic hasnt struggled in any games here. You'd think he'd be praising a 22 year olds development, but instead hes doubling down on his takes. Fuck him.
Another guy that gets paid to write about basketball. Also a nuggets writer. Have to cater to those faaaaans, all 7 of them.
We are like the old Oakland RaidersBlazers build playoff teams from other franchises' cast off players. Thanks guys!
I agree. How can you pin the entire defensive aspect on the shoulders of one guy in a TEAM game? journalists do have agendas. Shine On for the Editor and a paycheck. This is what happens when people have an agenda and only look at advanced stats. The eyeball/ human being test shows that the Blazers are better defensively and offensively when Nurkic is on the floor. And having watched 90 percent of the games this season, I can easily say that the team is waaay better now than before we had the big guy. Watch the game and then write.
This goes back to @KingSpeed : learn the game and then post.I agree. How can you pin the entire defensive aspect on the shoulders of one guy in a TEAM game? journalists do have agendas. Shine On for the Editor and a paycheck.
Some great Denver posts there. I love it when other fans are pulling out their hair more than us....

But I'm sure he can argue that they're similar in a lot of ways. Like, height, weight, and...um...did I say height yet? This dude is an idiot.
Whiteside couldn't be further from Nurk. Nurk is a willing passer and looks for his teammates before making any offensive move. And he thrives in the P&R because he actually makes an effort to dive to the rim.
Whiteside is a blackhole. Almost Blazer-ZBo esque blackhole. His AST% is 6x lower than what Nurk's is as a Blazer.
What a stupid comparison.
Are the stats adjusted for pace? The team's +/- has gone from bottom 10 to top 10.This is what happens when people have an agenda and only look at advanced stats. (3 different posts)
So now Nurkic is better than Dwight Howard what the F**K.
I really can see the Blazers winning out at this point. Lillard is just on another level right now. He just doesn't miss. That's the difference between us and Portland though. They have that cold blooded killer who wants to win more than everyone else on the floor. We don't have that. I mean we do and it's Murray but he's never going to get to show that this year.
These last 2 games I thought were sure losses for Portland. Is it a fluke, or are they really this good now?
I love this Denver fan post:
"Wouldn't surprise me if Portland are top 2 in the West next season."
