The salary hit next year is where Denver will feel it the most. Good trade by Denver, though. Nurk was near-cancerous with them.

No. Just no. They traded a franchise caliber center AND a first round pick in a loaded draft for a fringe starter type. Not even close to fair value. Just because you have two BMWs doesn't mean you give one away for a corolla.

Their offensive ratings are up and the gap when Jokic is out are very much diminished. For their system, Plumlee fits better whether he is the better player or not. Nurk is better here. Good for both.

I am of Serb extraction and my dad grew up in old "Yugoslavia", but my dad never ever spoke with any hatred towards Croats or other ethnic groups there (he had reason to as his mom and sis were murdered by them), however we knew some families growing up even here in the U.S. that did, it's sad but they have centuries and centuries of ugly history and atrocity over there with both sides taking turns as the "bad guys".

This matt moore fuck is probably the most annoying writer I have ever seen. For whatever reason he fucking loves Denver but memphis is his favorite team? shits on Portland whenever he can. Says this Nurkic thing could possibly be a honeymoon for him that could end. Last season he told me the season we had would "be a great story to tell at a bar" meanwhile I thought it was crazy how well we did after losing our whole starting 5 except lillard. Dude is fucking weird

He's a dumbass. Earlier in the year he was leading the Evan Turner hate brigade and literally his only argument were his +\- stats. Then when he got called out about judging individual players based on a stat like that, he said some bullshit about how he only uses it "in context."

And I'd love to know how he honestly thinks Nurkic is going to nosedive in Portland. It's not like Nurkic hasnt struggled in any games here. You'd think he'd be praising a 22 year olds development, but instead hes doubling down on his takes. Fuck him.

Yeah first it was Evan Turner that was his target for whatever reason. After every game when Turner wasn't playing great he would update people on his -
now it has become about Nurkic. How there is definitely something off about him and keeps hinting that this Nurkic thing will be bad soon. Dude is weird.

It's got to be personal in some way. Out of all the teams, Portland is the one that bothers you the most? It's too random to be random. Maybe Olshey told him to fuck off once or something.
 
The other clown writer is that local (I think) guy that's a huge Meyers Leonard apologist. Haven't noticed this season because I don't follow him anymore, but in previous years he'd have this condescending attitude towards anyone that criticized Leonard. And he gets paid to write about basketball...
 
National NBA writers know if you hate on Portland you get lots of attention. Attention is everything, good or bad, clicks and responses are all that count.
 
He tries to balance it though so it doesn't completely lose the Portland fans. He will shit on them and then mention them in a lighter manner like this
