I am pretty sure I like you more than you like him. I'd NEVER compare you to Bill Laimbeer and I don't even know you. Have you forgotten how many times he tried to seriously injure players? With a name like Calvin Natt, I'm guessing you're at least a few years older than me (45) and perhaps you have forgotten, but he was pure poison. Simmons isn't putting on a good look at all, but damn bro Laimbeer? That guy was like a top 3-5 dirtiest players in NBA history. When it comes to attempting to seriously injure players maybe, maybe Bruce Bowen was worse and that's it IMO.

You simply can't compare a "prima donna headcase" to Bill Laimbeer and not expect those of us old enough to remember watching Laimbeer play not call you out and harshly.

I love Dame. He's my favorite Blazer ever, but what possible reason is there to hang onto him? We're not going to build a contender around him before he loses a step. He's already starting to show some cracks in the foundation. He's expensive as fuck, he's getting old, and we're going to quickly lose out on the massive haul that we could get for him right now.

I want to see this team win a championship in my lifetime. I missed out on the 77 ship. I saw us get close multiple times. I want to have a fucking parade dammit. I love Dame but I love the team more. We're basically doing what the Lakers did with Kobe at the end, but Kobe got them multiple rings. We haven't won shit with Dame, and that's not his fault, but there's no reason to keep him around just or the nostalgia.

We have some promising young guys in Nas and Ant. We have some nice pieces we can move for other young talent. You people who think we're going to magically put together a championship caliber team overnight are just delusional. I don't care if I'm a broken record. I'm a fucking broken record because this has been our reality for the past THREE YEARS.

My point is that you don't know what anyone on here is going through. I post my opinions on here, and frankly if there's someone I disagree with I just skip over them. If you feel that way about me, that's up to you. I'm not going to filter myself or change my opinion because it annoys a few people. It's my opinion and I come on here to post my opinions.
 
It would be extremely boring if everyone had the same opinion. That's why we have Forums, to discuss and share opinions and to convince other posters of your argument.

The ONLY thing I’ve said about him is he is unlikeable to me. Some people are unlikeable for being dirty (Laimbeer), some for being selfish, or a bad teammate, or a myriad of things. I’m not comparing Simmons to Laimbeer because of their style or whatever. I’m comparing their likeability. I don’t want to have to root for a guy I simply do not like. I don’t want Greyson Allen here either.

I felt that way about Scottie Pippen. Kinda felt that way about Steve Smith too. These were guys I had actively rooted against in earlier seasons so it was an adjustment but they got us close to a title so you gotta be happy with that. You'll like Simmons once he's on our team because the team will be better because of him.
 
Last time I saw him, Dort was in Draymond, Wes kind of player area. I'd love to have that energy in the team. But not for Nas, who is exactly this energy kind of guy.
 
I kinda want Simmons just to watch the game threads become a Pro-Simmons v. anti-Simmons battleground

I guess I cant compare someone intentionally causing a potentially career ending injury ti someone sitting out with no pay due to feeling alienated by teammate, coach, media and fans. They seem completely radically different in every way. I don't see anything like a moral equivalency between the two. Its like robbery vs Murder totally different despite both being bad. Sorry for being a dick fwiw.
