Malik Beasley and Jaden McDaniels for Powell.

Btw here’s what Fischer said about Powell’s market back at last seasons deadline. Obviously things have changed but maybe some of these teams are still interested. It wasn’t THAT long ago, and now he’s locked up long term. I still like a theoretical Powell/Smart swap.

Knicks could be an interesting destination as well. Still think CJ to NY makes a lot of sense also.

I think the Rockets should do the right thing and trade us Christian Wood and a first rounder for RoCo... my whole life I've been hearing the phrase "turnabout is fair play" and for once I'd like to see it used in practice instead of just in theory.

what do you think of hunter and filler (Delon) from Atlanta for Powell, assuming they’re still interested.
I'd probably do it, and youth upside and size. I don't love his injury history, but this team is going nowhere as is. I'd have everyone but dame available for the right price.

Bulls receive:
Lillard and Nurkic
#2 pick from Philly

Blazers receive:
Vukavic, Maxey, Simmons
and a #1 from Chicago plus
a #1 pick swap with Philly in 2024

76’s receive:
Lanzó Ball, RoCo, McLemore and (2) #1 picks from Chicago and (2) #2 picks from Portland

THEN!

CJ plus a #1 tbd for Sabonis and J. Lamb (expiring)

Our Rebuilt Roster:

Maxey / Smith
Powell / Simons / Lamb
Simmons / Little
Sabonis / Nance
Vulavic / Zeller

Most players above are under contract for 2-4 years and we can use our picks to build around the youth - seeking a Center to replace Vukavic in a a few years. And Powell can always be the next trade chip to climb if necessary.

Wood is interesting. Guy is selfish on and off the court, but he’s also never played with a guy like Dame. In some ways he’s similar to Nurk, just a little more extreme with his antics. He’d be an intriguing buy low guy but I’m definitely not giving up any real assets for him. He’d purely be a project, and an expensive one.

And you decided this needed its own thread why?
No different than those who have created their own. And besides, I am the founder of the Super Blockbuster [Carmelo Anrhony] thread that will never be touched - show some respect rookie

That team is better than what we have now. A lot better. I’d miss Dame but we’d win more.

Ant/FRP/FRP swap to OKC

Dort to Portland

Dort is exactly the kind of player we should be targeting. A guy who can defend.

The thing about trading Ant is it doesnt really fix the issue. We’d still be running a three guard lineup with three below average defenders. That’s why I believe at least one of CJ and Powell have to go first, if not both. I would only trade Ant if we got a young wing in return, like Reddish. Definitely not trading him for tax purposes or a pick.

I would only trade him for a pick if that pick was to be used in a bigger deal.

If Morey really said no to CJ, Nas/Ant, and a pick for Simmons hes outta his mind. Hope that offer isn’t still on the table.

Blow it up and build around Ant and Nas. Start over. Find a badass power forward.

Put on of the top 3 picks around Simons and Little, and suddenly three future has some home and growth possibilities.
