Who says he would have even signed with us if we had the TPMLE? Portland is not a free agent destination. Sorry.
What about Chandler Parsons, Spencer Hawes, and Hedo Turkuglu? All had Portland as their second option in free agency.

You proved my point. Those guys all sucked. Especially after signing their deals elsewhere.

One of our best free agent signings was Andre Miller. Our star at the time Roy made him feel like crap on the team and never even wanted him. He missed his homeboy Blakey.

He is too cool for school bro. Has you on ignore. Doesn't have time for you and your logic.

Meh, I have plenty of people on ignore as well. Usually it's the people who have a brain aneurism if you have any kind of constructive criticism about the team

Chris Paul, turning 37 in a couple months..balling

Kyle Lowry, turning 36 in a couple months..balling

Mike Conley, 34...balling

These are just point guards playing right now. Nash was an all star at 37. Kidd was an all star at 36. Billups was an effective starter thru 35. I mean I could go on.

Chris Paul.... can't be the #1 option on a team anymore.

Kyle Lowry.... can't be the #1 option on a team anymore.

Mike Conley..... lol

Nash.... wasn't the #1 option on his teams.

Kidd..... wasn't the number one option on his teams.....

Billups.... wasn't making 50 million and wasn't the #1 option on his teams.

I'm seeing a trend here.....

didn't powell have a similar stretch while in toronto last yr?

30, 36, 25, 33, 13, 32, 43

One thing Powell didn't do is set the franchise record for most consecutive games with five or more made 3-pointers, which Trent Jr. accomplished with his fifth such game in the win over Miami. Not that it means anything.

Louder whispers. Seems like Powell’s name is swirling. Not sure how motivated the Blazers are at this point? There are MULTIPLE teams interested in ME-J, as of right now our asking price seems to be a bit rich

If we don't trade CJ because yet again our GM values him too highly, I'm going to have to call Saul.

Of course they are trying to get rid of Hayes. He's about to go to prison, currently facing 12 charges. Can he even leave Louisiana?

A friend of mine dug a little deeper into this. Likely some to most of these will get dropped and they are projecting community service with probation. His girlfriend won't press charges, so the 12 counts mostly come from resisting arrest.

I want CJ gone. He needs to be gone. Portland needs him gone

but Rubio and a 20th +/- pick isn't nearly enough. That wouldn't work anyway. Now if it was CJ for Cleveland's pick + Osman with Rubio's expiring contract shipped to a 3rd team that needs some cap relief, next season, and that team sends a decent player to Portland PLUS a pick, then maybe. Of course, I have no idea if there is any situation like that around the NBA

We will find out soon....

nothing drastically different in the wednesday morning rumor mill.

BR/Hoopshype say Ben McLemore is receiving interest in addition to RoCo, and that the Pels might be looking at RoCo now as well.

And also saying they are interested in Roco. CJ and Roco together is a lot of salary. The only way something would work is if we took on Devonte Graham with his four year salary, so I think they would need to give us draft picks also. I like this trade except having to take on Graham. But here it is: six for six.

CJ, Roco, Zeller, Smith, Snell, Mac for Hart, Graham, Satoransky, Hayes, Alexander-Walker and Herb Jones.

I figured with the way he's been playing, that playoff contenders would be interested in McLemore. An early 2 or future 1 would be a great get for him, makes too much sense not to happen if we can get something of value...

This is really interesting. One added bonus of tanking is plenty of playing time available. Young guys with high upside like NAW and Jaxon Hayes will get plenty of shots and minutes to bolster their value. Since we'd likely be doing more of a flip than a rebuild, that's a really enticing approach to bulk up assets going into the offseason...

these shooting splits are terrible for a guy whose biggest strength is claimed as .... shooting.

and he's an upcoming RFA.

and his defensive numbers are eye-gougingly bad.

no thank you.

Well right now I think Roco and someone attached to that trade will be the only trade at deadline. Percentage for CJ leaving with Dame out very low. Nurk the rumor there not much interest but again it only takes one team. Powell it's very low possible low percentage due we just signed him to a decent contract. The others like Nance and Zellers there injured and playoffs teams what players that can help them now.

CJ for Porz
They have an urgent nerd at scoring guard!
CJ & Cuban would gel and become business partners!

I wouldn’t read anything that gets put out there the final week before the deadline. Also interesting that two different reporters are reporting the same stuff. That’s for sure on purpose. At this point it’s pretty much let me know when something actually happens. Until then zzzzzZzzz

If we’re trading Roco we better be getting more than a pick; either multiple picks or a talented younger player.

very fine line between complacency and patience. i hope cronin straddles that line correctly. i think we can say for certain, if he does nothing, we're getting a new GM in the summer.

I have throughly laughed at anyone being impatient because the GM didn't Do anything a month ago, a week ago, or today.

Laughed. At. Like wtf did you think was gonna happen?

Many posters will bitch if no trades are done by the deadline. I will be disappointed but am willing to wait and see what they do in the offseason, especially if we get a lotto pick to us.

If we do nothing but draft a project, I think you will have many people raging hard and we will hear more optimists that will act like we have a chance to do something.

Optimism without changes with this team is the definition of insanity.
