Except it’s been reported at least two or three teams are legitimately interested in giving up assets for Schroeder.Boston is desperately looking to shed salary because they are about 3 mil above the tax line. We need to be on the phone with them trying to get some sort of compensation to take on Schroeder's contract with our 6.5 mil TPE.
This is how you build a war chest of assets to make a bigger move later on. Need to be opportunistic, but Cronin doesn't seem like he cares much about getting every last bit of value he can in this teardown.
Philly is also 6 million above. If they want to dump contracts into our TPE along with some second round picks or the like... do it!
So we can’t sign players and we can’t draft useful players. No wonder you’re having a meltdown. We literally have no way to get useful players. Got it!I did not include Nurk because who knows what his status is. The picks I’m not expecting to be good contributors. Same with any free agent signing. Literally look at who we’ve been able to sign the last decade.
i'll believe it when i see it.Except it’s been reported at least two or three teams are legitimately interested in giving up assets for Schroeder.
Woj pretty much said Windhorst is full of shit and Sixrrs and Nets aren’t talking trades as of now.

Yes. As long as we're not combining recently-acquired guys' salaries in order to match incoming salary value on our end, we can absolutely trade them out together.Heres another question
Could we attach a recently acquired guy like NAW to Bledsoe in a trade if Bledsoe matches by himself?
Cavs are supposedly interested as well… but ok.
Me too.Cronin loves second rounders
Yes! Nurkic, Hart and BledsoeNAW was the one younger guy we got that I thought might have a chance of being in a rotation and on a cheaper contract at $5 million next year. He's already a double digit scorer. Didi and Keon are a few years away from a few years away, as will be our picks.
Do we next trade away Hart and Nurkic?
The rebuild continues to get longer and longer.
He averaged double digits cuz he chucked up shots while shooting 37% from the field and 31% from the 3.NAW was the one younger guy we got that I thought might have a chance of being in a rotation and on a cheaper contract at $5 million next year. Here’s what I’d like to accomplish today or tomorrow:
1. trade Bledsoe for Siakam and include (2) second round picks
2. trade Nurkic (plus sweetener) for Boucher
3. acquire Simmons for our trade exception, our own 1st and New Orleans 1st and Josh Hart
Ant
Dame
Siakam
Simmons
Boucher
and we get this done before signing Dame’s extension and Ant’s.
If we use the TPE for Grant, keep in mind our tax implications of adding salary.
Currently we have 18.9 mil of space. If we were to take on Grant without sending back anything, we'd be right back in the tax.
If we simply shed NAW along with whatever other asset in addition to the TPE, we'd be OK.
right, but we can also use the TPE now and arrive at the same destination if we think there's a player worth using it for. Prolly hurts our tanking goal, but those same players available now might not be available later.Given the path they may need to take, I would suggest holding on to the TPE until they have hopefully used the cap space to acquire a good player, then signed Simons to his extension, then use the TPE when they are over the cap to acquire another player. So that would be After Aug 1, correct?

1/2 would be contingent on each other, I assume? Even if, no way TOR takes Nurk/picks/filler for Siakam and Boucher. Here’s what I’d like to accomplish today or tomorrow:
