The biggest improvement to the bench: McCollum

No I don't think that is what he was saying at all. I don't want to put words in his mouth but I think he was looking at it logically and was saying because he got hurt in training camp and missed the first 2 months, Stotts did not have the option (or at least the desire) to let him learn from his mistakes. He basically got his feet wet and that's it. Surely you have watched enough basketball to know his injury set him back in terms of on court chemistry with his new teammates. What Milke said last summer could have very well of been true. We will never know because.....he got hurt.

In before more negativity while disregarding everything else happens....

Blake is a better fit with McCollum because he doesn't need the ball.
Blake is a better fit because he'll PASS THE BALL.
Mo completely froze CJ out of the offense. And CJ wasn't on the floor for his defense.

Like I said, Rice's annual summer praise is backed up for once, by a picture.

McCollum's body is better cut now, so maybe he'll make quicker cuts on the floor. He was a little slow and unathletic last season.

Two of our key bench guys are already working out together in PDX. Gotta love it!

I've believed CJ was going to be an impact player since day one, nothing has changed.

His injury last year basically set him back an entire year. Only an uninformed fan would point to his production last year coming off an injury and use that as their argument as to why he won't be productive in the future. Only an uninformed fan.

You mean the posts of an uninformed fan, right?

And only an uninformed fan would believe anything Mike Rice says.

I love listening to him, but his "news" updates are pure propaganda

CJ could very well have a good season, but we have all seen far too many "so and so is looking great this summer" articles to take any of them serious.

I think he meant Tom Petty spats but thanks for the link jlprk...I'm tempted to order the two tones myself

Hammer some cleats into those saddle shoes. You'll ride a fast horse every time.

Someone could believe in the statement that said poster had said "anyone who thinks so and so is right is an uninformed fan"... thus it could be construed as a personal attack.

I'm just jumping ahead of the curve and trying to remind people to say that "the posts" are uninformed fans... not the people. That's within the confines of S2.

Ah. I appreciate your concern. However in the event someone actually uses that argument, I do think they're an uninformed fan and so it's absolutely meant as a personal attack and is in no way meant to appear to be within the confines of S2. I should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Wow!
That's the first confession I've ever read here! Turning yourself in took some courage

Blazer news is so slow I have to amuse myself somehow. If I go to time-out that's okay since it's August.

I lobbied for Tas Melas to become the Blazers beat reporter/writer 2 years ago. He was a huge fan and his favorite player was Wes. Rice I only listen to if it's early in the day. By gametime he's starting to slur. I think MB would be much improved with a younger, more articulate partner calling games. Even when games are televised, I listen to Wheels and Tone. I actually agree with most of Rice's analysis if it's taped early..he knows a lot about the team and the game. I just think it's time for him to pass on the torch. Rice wants CJ to make the leap. He's projecting that and I'm hoping he's right.

I just like listening to Rice, and the inevitable countless times MB has to correct him. It's great.

But, for the actual game? I agree with you.

I actually heard Rice call the former Knicks player, Barnyardy..granted it was a road game but c'mom

I love Mike and Mike. Mike Rice entertains me. I know he's a homer, don't care. I may not believe everything he says or tweets but he's my man. I grew up listening to him and the Schonz.

To be fair, Wheels calls Marco Bellnelli "Belly-Nelly"... Every. Time. It's Bell-a-nell-e.
