Improving our team by signing a free agent with a resource we have now (cap $) and will not have again in the near future is not "a desperate move to contend now", it's common sense.

That was a reference to signing Hedo for 5 years. It would have been a desperate move. Hedo will be washed up in year 4 and 5 of his contract.

Amen all around. Just because we have the money, doesn't mean you have to force a guy into the mix.

I also second the Pendergraph notion, I think he may just be the back-up Portland needs.
