I wrote this just now so I could join the rapper beat.

There was a young rapper named Williams
Who wrote a song that made him millions.
His rhythm would shake
Irish stew he did bake
Actually he came from Italians.

My rap alter ego is a black dude named Cre'Monte. He's the chocolate to my vanilla.

Woosh was certainly the sound I heard too. Maybe someone can UCD can elaborate for those of us slow on the uptake. :)
I'm thinking Rasheed was being cleverly ironic. But......he may well have misread your post and thought you were saying white guys CAN'T be rappers. I vote for irony, if for no other reason than I won't look stoopid......

From tip off, red and black is all we see
Blurs of dunks ands loads of threes
The Blazers are a special brand of basketball
Even the best of teams will fall
Full of an unstoppable tenacity
Here, there is no veracity
With a strength and energy unmatched, we leave it on the floor
From the stands the screams and yells of the fans pour
For they are the loudest in the land
A force to be reckoned with at hand
The other teams hate coming here
Another loss they fear
For just stepping into the Moda center, they quake
But the doors shut behind them and its to late
No matter who is on the court the job gets done
And the score board reveals we've won

Best one (next to mine. Needs to rhyme more syllables.).
