Im curious what you guys think the Blazers would be like if we had gotten Hibbert?
We are obviously horrible on defense and he would make a huge difference, but I wonder how much of a difference? Would that difference translate to more wins? How would his presence change the play of our players around him?

imho, Hibbert would be of limited help to the Blazers right now, because he would be fouling a lot, and getting into huge foul trouble. Our lack of team defense would lead to a situation where Hibbert would be encountering a lot of people driving against him and that leads to a lot of fouls on the center. I think he'd be averaging about 24 minute a game, with a career low PER and a career high in Personal Fouls...

...kind of like he's doing in Indiana right now. :ghoti:

I think we'd have 3-4 more wins right now. Having Hickson as a scoring punch off the bench would solve a lot of the lack of depth in the second unit.

We can't prove it either way but I don't think we would have brought Hickson back this year had we gotten Hibbert.

did Portland do to Indiana what they did to Utah with Milsap?

We would have Hickson alternating with Hibbert, Olshey would have completed the circuit by signing a real sub PG instead of Price, and we'd be about .650.

Ten years from now, people will be saying, "Roy Hibbert was an All-Star?!" in the same incredulous voice that they use to refer to Chris Gatling.

I thought we would have had to renounce Hickson if we signed Hibbert?
