Okay. This is for the fantasy types who feel there is a fringe of reality.
I know this is a crazy take but i think we make the playoffs this year.

Shae gets most improved player award.
Scoot ROTY
Grant and Ayton mesh well with one making the all star game.
Simons balls out with elite shooting.

i think all of these happen and we make the playoffs and become the team of the future.

whats your crazy take?

I don't think anything crazy or outlandish will happen this year.

I think it will be a year of spectacular individual game performances that demonstrate the potential of our youngsters.

I think this team will look amazing one night, and garbage the next. Beating the Nuggets on the road, then losing to Orlando at home.

I think Anfernee will be frustrated because he'll want to score 25+ppg and Chauncey won't give him enough minutes.

I think the roster will be shaken to its core by midseason moves, and a third of the players who started the season with us will end it elsewhere.

I furthermore think the roster at the end of the trade deadline will be less talented and younger than it is now. That we will continue to stock assets.

I think we get bigger and more athletic after the trade deadline.

I think the mantra preached by everyone from the Blazers will be "patience".

I think this is Chauncey's last year as our coach, and it won't be his fault. He's no longer a fit for what we want from this team. He'll be wildly successful at his next stop.

Scoot ROTC? Is that supposed to be "Rookie of the Century"? Or are you suggesting that he's joining the Reserve Officers Training Corps?

My outlandish prediction is that we don't start Scoot or Shaedon to start the season and that we hover around just under .500 starting Brogdon, Ant, Matisse, Jerami and Ayton. Then we trade every starter but Ayton by the trade deadline and go even younger. We finish the season with just over 30 wins but our very young team shows a ton of promise even while losing.

DOMINAYTON becomes an All Star
Get him 18 shots a game and he has a good chance.

His True Shooting percentage for 2020-21 and 2021-22 was higher than Dames' career high last season.

He'll have no problem exceeding Lauri Markannen's rebounds per game. Markannan became an All Star from a 37-win team.

The knock on Ayton is that he only shoots when it's an easy score. He's more LaMarcus than Shaq. He's a comfortable mid-range scorer, but not the outside threat Lauri is.

This is honestly what I'm hoping for. Not THAT crazy...
