Notice The CJ injury update thread

I think if CJ’s gonna miss a few games, the obvious Choice is Hood. However I like Hood in the role he’s in now. Would be interesting to see Trent Jr or Simons get some of those minutes.

Lets say worst case CJ is done for the season, does that give everyone involved a “pass” if they get handled in the playoffs?

I also wonder if they were hoping to try to include him in a trade for AD or something how bad that hurts his trade value.

Anyways none of that is as important as just hoping he’s alright and its nothing long term, hate when guys get hurt. Hope he gets good news from the MRI.

Knowing that this is pissing into the wind as I write it...

We won’t know anything until after the results of the MRI tomorrow. Knee, shin, ankle, bruise, worse...? I’m down with speculation about how we play without him for however long it is, but breaking site rules over injury speculation isn’t cool.

Are there site rules for injury speculation?

Portland Trail Blazers Guard CJ McCollum:

(On how he sustained an injury in tonight’s game...)

“I went up for a layup, a left handed layup, and the big fella blocked it and landed on my foot, and kind of trapped my foot on the ground. I felt my knee kind of twist. I was in some pain. ”

(On his current condition…)

“It hurts. I got an x-ray. The X-rays came back negative, so I’ll get an MRI tomorrow.”

(On his level of concern...)

“You never want to get hurt, not ever, especially at this point in the season, but there’s nothing I can do about it except rehab and see what they say.”

(On if his knee is where he believes he suffered the injury…)

“I’ve broken my foot, so I know what that feels like, so it's not my foot. It’s definitely around my knee, but I don't know the extent of it. I don’t know if it’s lateral. I don’t know. I just know that it’s not normal.”

Brogdon’s out for 8 weeks. Injuries suck but we can’t really complain. Houston, GS, and Denver have had their share of injuries and they’re ahead of us. Get well soon, CJ!!!

Portland had the 2nd fewest games lost to injuries last season, and they may have the fewest this season. So yeah, they have really avoided the injury bug other teams have had to deal with

I think Moe has been the only guy who’s missed significant time for the Blazers this year.

I hope nothing serious but who takes his place has to perform. As long we play team basketball we will be alright until he comes back. We still got enough talented to win games.

You gotta stop telling people to shut up.

Please.

This is your 2nd or 3rd time tonight you've told someone that.

Wow, i got banned for 2 days from a thread for calling a poster clueless when he posted a lie about me and this daily rule breaker gets just warnings 3 different times in one day? This is why some have openly complained of bias in this forum.

Hmm. Don’t like that last sentence.

clueless is a personal insult. "Shut up" is not. You should know the forum rules by now.

But you dont instigate anything, right? Shut the front door.

Because i got this from O-Live. I did not provide the link. But i did copy and paste it.
"The good news? McCollum walked around the Blazers’ locker room under his own power Saturday — albeit gingerly and with a limp — he said he did not hear a pop and he told Moe Harkless that his knee ligaments “felt fine.” But the bad news is that the injury sure didn’t look good live."

Added Damian Lillard: “I think first you’re concerned about his health as a person, beyond the game. You never want to see that happen. And then, he’s so big for our team that you just get concerned for that, too. That’s a big blow. He’s a guy that plays a huge role for us and is a big part of our team. You never want to see that. Once I saw him stay down, I knew he was really hurt. So that was my biggest concern. Seeing him stay down. Hopefully he’ll be all right.”

The problem with "Shut Up" Bones is it's rude. It's not something that does anything to promote discussion. More so, i doubt you would say it in a conversation with someone. You can hold yourself to a higher standard.

I wouldnt say shut up to just anyone. Tunchi gets no leeway with me. He shouldnt even be here. That's the only person I've said that too, as I dont normally say that to anyone else on here unless it's to someone I know, in a way that isnt as serious.

You told me to shut up, although I don’t give a shit.

As it pertains to the thread, **sounds** like an LCL issue, *possibly*, based on where he grabbed his knee / leg and the fact he is talking about lateral stability. No idea though.

Best wishes to CJ.
