"Lifestyle" is totally irrelevant in this matter.
It's 2012 and many GOP's continue to believe that gay/lesbian people chose to be that way. "It's not God's way."
The party is about 60 years out of touch.
I doubt that I would have much success on a message board attempting to convince you of the veracity of the Bible.
That said, II Timothy 3:15 says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." I'll go with that. The Bible also says that God's ways are far above our ways. It boils down to faith and trust. I have faith and trust that God knows what He's doing.
Most likely, you'll have a response to my comments. That's OK. As I basically mentioned, you're gonna believe what you're gonna believe. I'm gonna believe what I'm gonna believe, as well. Peace.![]()
I dont question, i just try to follow, although we all fall many times...a day
+1, I think your sis was really vulnerable after a bad relationship and she got into another bad relationship for all the wrong reasons (hated men at the time, didn't feel comfortable about being single/alone, didn't know who she was, et al.... whatever reason). It was a bad rebound and she hooked up with another person who was going to damage her again, didn't matter if it was gay or straight. Fortunately she's better now!
peace to you as well abm...

If you're in the Portland area, would love to hook-up for a beer and Blazer game sometime.![]()
By the way, I think those people who want gay marriage don't realize how good they have it. I'm certain that gay divorce will suck as much as straight divorce does.![]()
if i ever get a damn vacation, you have your self a date!

Yeah, it's really great in North Carolina where gays can't....visit their partners in the hospital.
Really?! That's craziness!! I'm gonna ask my fiance' (a nursing director) about that and why they might have cray-cray rules like that.

North Carolina voted against gay marriage and civil unions.
Yeah, it's really great in North Carolina where gays can't get married and thus can't visit their partners in the hospital. Sure, it's nice to joke about but there's nothing good about having limited rights. Think before you post .
Here is how I look at it ABM; is it possible that having gay parents could have some kind of long term effect on a child? Sure. Could be a positive effect, could be a negative effect. With that said, how many kids have negative baggage from straight parents? How many kids are in abusive families? How many kids are in families that do not provide for them? If a gay couple can provide a happy and loving home with everything a child needs in life, why would you deny them that? I think it's more important that a child is provided with a loving environment and a stable home, rather than worry that they might turn gay because they have two dads or two moms.
The good news, though, is that gay marriage passed in three states last night and a sitting President in favor of gay marriage won re-election. The country is moving in the right direction.
Question KS. Im conservative and i totally would accept the gay community as having the same rights in terms of, civil unions, tax breaks, visitations, etc. EXCEPT calling there union marriage. Is that still ok? or is it necessary we designate it as marriage?
On people's rights, yes I totally agree. In most other things, I completely and emphatically disagree (not that Romney would have fixed those other things). When it comes to love/relationships/families, keep the government the FUCK out. To me, it's sad we have to talk gay rights, equality, etc. We shouldn't even have to be having this conversation.
The Republican Party needs to redefine themselves as the party for all and not just old white rich men. That is why they lost.
The heavy pro-Obama Latino vote also sends a message to the Republican Party, which needs to make inroads in the fast-growing Hispanic community to survive. Ana Navarro, a Miami-based Republican political strategist who had warned Republicans to take a softer tone on immigration if they wanted to win the election, wrote on Twitter that gaining only 27 percent of the Latino vote is a "disgrace."
Most Latino voters said in the Latino Decisions poll that the most important issues to them in this election were the economy and jobs. Thirty-five percent of the voters listed immigration reform as their key issue.
"Our party needs to realize that it's too old and too white and too male, and it needs to figure out how to catch up with the demographics of the country before it's too late," Al Cardenas, the head of the American Conservative Union, told Politico. "Our party needs a lot of work to do if we expect to be competitive in the near future."
Exactly what I'm talking about. It's a stupid conversation to be having.

And then the Democrats held their convention there.
