Oklahoma City @ Toronto
Root For: Raptors
Reason: Would love for the Thunder to fall down to the No. 3 seed. They'd be a helluva draw, but it would be an intense First Round series if we dropped to No. 6

Memphis @ Miami
Root For: Heat
Reason: We're still only three games up on the Grizz in the loss column for 7th and they've got the tiebreaker on us and there's still another game between both squads.

Dallas Vs. Denver
Root For: Nuggets
Reason: A Dallas loss would give the Trail Blazers a five-game cushion in the loss column for the 8th seed with just 13 games remaining.

Phoenix vs. Detroit
Root For: Pistons
Reason: A Pistons win drops the Trail Blazers' Magic Number down to 8

San Antonio @ Sacramento
Root For: Spurs
Reason: San Antonio as the West's No. 1 seed works on a lot of levels for the Trail Blazers

Portland @ Charlotte
Root For: Trail Blazers
Reason: NEED to get game No. 1 of this five-game road trip. In my opinion, it's the most important game of any road trip.

Houston @ Cleveland
Root For: Cavaliers
Reason: Without the tiebreaker, the Trail Blazers are three games back of the Rockers with only 13 games remaining. Any chance of Home Court Advantage hinges on Houston getting upset a couple of times.

Memphis vs. Indiana
Root For: Pacers
Reason: Trail Blazers are four games up on the Grizzlies with 13 to go. A Portland win/Memphis loss pushes that lead to five games with 12 remaining, which would pretty much assure that the Blazers won't get passed by the Grizzlies.

Golden State vs. San Antonio
Root For: Spurs
Reason: We're only two up on the Warriors in the loss column for the No. 5 seed. If you still have hope for HCA, root for San Antonio. There's also a chance the Rockets catch the Clippers for No. 3, so we'd want to stay at No. 5 in that scenario.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Detroit
Root For: Pistons
Reason: It's still too early to think of playoff positioning, but a couple Clipper losses could have them sitting at No. 4.

Well, San antonio helped us, Looks like they are going to beat GS... Memphis beat Indiana though... meh.

Can you imagine if Knicks make playoffs and we don't?

The bottom six teams in the East have lost a combined 48 games in a row. If the knicks make the playoffs it's more a testament to how hard teams are tanking then anything they are doing.

Say what? Knicks are about to win their ninth in a row. It has a lot to do with how they're playing.

They have only one quality win in those 9 games. The rest are against Clev, Minny, Phillyx2, Boston, they're in the easiest part of the schedule.

Couldn't you have just posted this instead of starting another entire thread about missing the playoffs? That would be nice kthx

All wins are quality wins esp when trying to make playoffs.

True, but then it's also true that all losses suck equally when trying to make the playoffs. And the Knicks lost. To Cleveland. After leading by 15 points at halftime. At home.

Hmmm. Maybe some losses do suck worse than others even when you're trying to make the playoffs.

The Blazers should know after last night.

Portland @ Miami
Root For: Trail Blazers
Reason: Maybe a win over the Champs will bring back the swagger we saw in November/December

Houston @ Charlotte
Root For: Bobcats
Reason: We're not catching Houston for Home Court Advantage, but I'm curious to see how they play against the Bobcats after the Blazers lost to 30 on Saturday night.

Phoenix @ Atlanta
Root For: Hawks
Reason: A Suns loss drops Portland's Magic Number down to 8 - a Blazers win and a Suns loss pushes it even lower to 7

Memphis vs. Minnesota
Root For: Timberwolves
Reason: The Trail Blazers are just three games up on the Grizz with 12 games left. And if Portland loses tonight and Memphis handles business, the gap drops to two and Memphis faces us once more this year.

Oklahoma City vs. Denver
Root For: Nuggets
Reason: Still like the thought of San Antonio keeping the No. 1 seed. I can't see OKC drop lower than the No. 2 seed.

San Antonio vs. Philadelphia
Root For: Spurs
Reason: See reason above

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Milwaukee
Root For: Clippers
Reason: The more separation the Rockets and Clippers get between each other at the 3/4 seed, the easier it can be to see which seed the Blazers may want coming down the stretch.

Portland @ Orlando
Root For: Trail Blazers
Reason: Portland is now just two games up on Memphis for the 7th seed out West

Oklahoma City @ Dallas
Root For: Mavericks
Reason: I just really don't like the Thunder ...

If we don't get two of these next three on the road, it's going to start to look a little bleak, especially considering we hold tiebreakers over none of the teams we're fighting for playoff position with.

If we could end up facing San Antonio in the first round, I would actually feel really good about the series. I don't care if they have HCA.

Spurs are the only team we can win a series against. I fear the Rockets/Clippers/Thunder would handle us in 5/6 games.

I think we can beat the Spurs, Golden State, the Clippers and the Mavs (if they squeak in) Rockets, Thunder or Grizzlies...not so much.

Yup. I think we could beat the Clips. I highly doubt we'll face Dallas at any point though.
