I have a “thunder stick” from when my sons played baseball. It’s the length of a bat, but long, narrow and solid (insert dirty joke here), and it was used for batting practice. Hand/eye coordination, blah, blah, blah. It’s like a long billy club you can swing with one or both hands. Either way will do damage. Anyway, that and mace are my home defense system.

I'm trying to acquire a collapsible baton. Illegal in CA, but hopefully they will sell to me in NV.

They sell these sweet crab bat flashlights in the truck stops out here. They are actually really sweet and pretty high quality 300 lumen flashlights. I picked up a few for friends and family. It slides into my hiking pack nicely and doesn’t take up much space, and you would not want to get smacked by one they are super stout.
 
I've got a metal soft ball bat....the metal handle from my 2.5 ton floor jack..a tire iron and some heavy metal ratchets plus a big assed ratchet handle...lot of fish hooks too...but I paid 1000 bucks for my old truck 21 years ago....I'm not losing a tool over it

HOLY SHIT! Do you know what a "basic infantry unit" has? I don't even have to google it to tell you that you don NOT want that type of weaponry out on the streets. And then what..... where do the M203s/50 cals go when this is all over in a few days?

We've seem citizens attacked by multiple assailants at once. The police have been not helpful in protecting the country

the protest is about police brutality....they threw the first punch....they get to deal with the repercussions...black folk have had enough and I'm with them...trust is earned....the police need to earn the public trust....it's not going to be given just because you wear the uniform now.

stop lumping protesters into looters piggy backing off the protests...looters are not the power of this protest...they are the collateral damage of public outrage and police disorganization...the police need to bring people together, not act with armed confrontation...arrest looters, fine..don't shoot journalists, senators, mayors, or any protesters who are not looting because crooks are looting...they aren't the same issues...where's the frickin' dialogue and public response from leadership? Talking about getting more attack dogs? They need to protect the hospitals because at this rate they're going to need all the first responders we can find

The burned, destroyed and looted cities have determined your thoughts are idealistic and false.

Cities that cracked down on lawlessness are better now. Those that haven't are still in peril.
