Still have to shoot it regularly to keep up on skill.

There are some people.... Okay, I own a gun! Im safe! Lock it in the safe, and never take the classes or learn about gun safety and responsibility. Blows my mind.

This goes for you too bro, since you've admitted not being into guns. Just cause you get your hands on one doesn't mean it will save you unless you are familiar with it and how it shoots.

Oh, if i get an assault weapon, I'll get training. Big league training.

Sure, people kill people with guns, guns don't do it by themselves. That's a pretty shallow observation, though.

The point is that guns enable people to kill much more easily and quickly. If guns didn't exist or weren't allowed, there would still be criminally malicious people and murderers. But it's much harder to kill 20 or 50 people at a time with a knife. Murders would still happen--mass murders would be far, far, far rarer. Not because people would suddenly stop wanting to mass murder, but because mass murder would be much, much, much harder.

Let's stop with "guns don't kill people, people kill people." It's trite and meaningless when it comes to the discussion of the effect of unregulated firearms on society. "Society" already denotes that people are the actors. The question is whether we want to allow guns to be an accessible tool for those people.

Sooo...if the government make guns illegal, are they still attainable?

Okay? Looks peaceful to me? They’re not antagonizing the protest, the protest isn’t antagonizing them. No guns are being pointed, no fingers on triggers... obviously there to protect their property and neighborhood from those who wish to cause damage.

Still not a good look

Who said anything about propping guns up or identifying them as important? I know I didnt. So here you are again twisting words around, then you will tell me to ignore you even though you quoted me and now are saying things irrelevant to the convo....

People aren't responsible with cars and they kill. Lets ban them too and blame the cars and not the drivers...
People arent responsible with Swords. Ive seen the videos. Lets ban those too.
Hey, words can kill. We should ban speech too!

Sigh..

Ill pull a Stren. Im right and you are wrong. End of discussion.
Hahaha :biglaugh:

Neither is the rioting and looting, it’s sad it’s come to what it is, but I get protecting your community from potential destruction.

yep me too. Im just concerned these looks are what Americas enemies have been waiting cor to pounce. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if any and all of America's enemies are covertly communicating on thoughts and ideas of how to use this as an angle to bring our country down.

You got ALL that from that video?

Yeah, I really don’t think those with the guns are trying to hurt the protesters in any way. They just don’t want the assholes who are using the protests as a cover to destroy their neighborhood. How is protecting your neighborhood any different than protecting your place of business? It’s your community, take it back.

I’ll be the first to say I am with the message of the actual protest, I am against police brutality, I think the unfair racial discrimination needs to end as well. However, I will protect my family and property from those who want to cause damage and assault people.

Sure. Most things are attainable, if you have the right contacts and enough money. The question is how easily accessible we want to make tools of mass killing.

Let's be honest. That stunt is intended to intimidate. Nothing else.

of course. And i bet they wouldnt deny it. Intimidate any lawless factions from committing senseless crimes of violence.
When the protests leave the business district and enter residential neighbors and its a FACT the protestors have those following that are intent on destruction, it changes things.
How can anyone put these people down for wanting to protect their own?

no its not a good look at all. It terrifies me the global image being formed.
But lets not criticize those who are wanting to protect their homes from what is happing all over the country.

there has got to be a compromise.
There must be some common sense and common ground.

it may not look good but i would never criticize anyone for wanting to protect their own family to the fullest extent of their capabilities.
It isn’t like its a hollow threat and the danger isn’t real.
Turn on the news!

It takes two to tango. Now, which one is more controllable? Is it the shooter or the gun? Pretty hard to control the shooter unless he's an ex con. So, what does that leave?

The best weapon for self defense has to be the shotgun.

why?

i gave my reason why i dont think so.
Maybe in an apartment with one or two people, but in full scale anarchy?
I could be wrong tbough. Im no gun expert.

I’ve shot all kinds of guns. Been around them all my life.

First gun I ever shot I was 9 years old at my uncles place up in Scappoose. It was a .357 magnum that about put me on my ass. My cousins thought it was hilarious.

I used to go shoot shotguns all the time with some buddies up on larch mountain.

I’ve shot an AR15 up at Larch mountain as well.

I never understood the thrill. I mean it wasn’t like some kind of rush or high for me.

I’m also not very paranoid so I’ve never thought about getting one. I just have never felt like I needed one.

I am thinking about getting a Doberman. I’ll train it to be family and people friendly. But like German Shepard’s we had as kids they’re protective of their people. Only don’t have to put up with the hair shedding BS that you gotta deal with on the Shepard’s

I never got the thrill either. Been to gun ranges for bachelor parties, and thought it was pretty fucking boring tbh.

I’m gonna one up you. I went to a bachelor party in a barn in Warren, Oregon. No strippers, no blow. Just a bunch of dudes sitting around bullshitting drinking coors light.

The night ended for my group when some red neck rando swung at me from behind and missed and a buddy popped him in the face and knocked one of his teeth out. We decided it was lame as fuck and dipped.

I'll do you up one better than that. Bach party about 15 years ago or so in Vegas. Big party, maybe 15 guys I knew maybe 3 or 4.

Had tables set up at Tao. Two secretaries from my work were in town that weekend. Met them up at Rehab in the afternoon to set shit up for the evening and one of the girls had friends who were hired by the WWE and this was their going away party weekend (they were the Bella Twins). Anyway, the bach party decided to just stay in and have a strippers come to the room (we had a big ass suite at some Off Strip Time Share and I was in a sleeping bag) and ditch the table. Strippers were ugly, they had to pay like $1000 just to have her take her top off. It was the saddest shit I've ever seen. They kept on asking us to throw in more money so the girls would put on a better show, but it didn't get better at all. We ended up going to a strip club, got a private room. The guys were fucking tightwads, half of them were married or whipped and the other half were fucking incels and stopped spending money after a round of dances, so girls stopped going by. So we had like 15 guys there, in a big fucking circle jerk, not doing jack shit. I ended up ditching them with another guy and ended up at the Palms. Jack shit happened, was in a bad frame of mind.

Found out the next day that one of the secretaries from work had sex with a girl who was a Playboy Playmate from the year prior. I was so fucking pissed that next day.
