what difference does that make? Oh, and both Harden and Chris Paul have listed Portland as a preferred destination

Paul George didn't "want" to play with Westbrook in OKC, but he re-signed there. There are three stars, including the MVP in Milwaukee

Portland isn't going to sign a max contract player, especially with Olshey giving contracts out like CJ and Crabbe and Turner. And wasting a 10th pick on Zach. They have to trade for the star and then convince him to stay. Lots of NBA players love Portland once they are in Portland for a while

I did think about including Harden, but those two players you listed are two players I wouldn't want to watch in a Blazers uniform and would gladly go without a championship in order to not see them in a Blazers uniform. I appreciate Neal for this. We are wired differently.

Were you around for the 77 championship?

You guys sign off on the Chauncey hire? I think it was a good hire, and he hasnt coached an NBA game as yet. Soon to be a great coach!

Do we hate Neil Olshey for the Billups hire? Or do we praise Neil for sticking to his guns throughout the shit storm? Or do we Blame Neil for the Shit Storm and praise the hire if and only if the Blazers improve?

Option 3... I do like the hire but it will be judged in hindsight like everything else. The reason why that is fair, is because I'm not paid to be an expert on this stuff and I don't have a team around me helping me find the best coach possible. So it's completely fair for people in here who like the Billups hiring to criticize Neil if it ends up being a bad one. That goes for every move in sports. It's not hypocritical to want someone fired for a move that you initially thought was great because they are being employed to make that move, not you.

One thing we don't have to wait to judge is the PR side of the hiring process... that was bush league. They could have just used better verbiage and been much better off. I find no advantage and only downside to Neil's condescending tone and constant bluster. He chooses the wrong words and tone all of the time. Every year it's that we've built a championship roster instead of a roster built to compete with the goal of winning a championship. The guy is just really foolish in how he handles himself and he doesn't do anything special or successful to pull off his brash bullshit... at least not with most fans and media.

Neil Olshey - “it’s not the rosters fault”

Also Neil Olshey

Melo
Kanter
Giles
Jones jr
Blevins
Collins
Jefferson
Leaf

Are out. That’s half of the roster that finished with Portland

You can find a will barton anywhere or he wouldn't be on the bench.

The moral of the story is it was a good trade that an injury derailed. There is no counter argument to the fact. Thanks.

but the fact is its not a fact!!!

geez your facts are as annoying as hell.
Can i please put you on ignore?
Seriously. Its a fact that your “facts” are way annoying…but unlike others i cant ignore you.
Will you please chill out on your damn facts or remove your mod status so you can be ignored?

This is a discussion forum aNd you leave no room for it with your factual opinions “leaving no argument”…

i mean really…..:banghead2::banghead2::banghead2::banghead2::banghead2::banghead2:

Never really been a fan of Will Barton. He doesn't play smart at all. That being said he is a very talented player in the league and many teams would love to have him. Saying you can find a NBA level player that is playing at an NBA level "anywhere" is just a gross failure of common sense and reality.
That is a counter argument and yes it's very valid.
