But then all you have to do is change your name and you can return like that one guy right?

I'm sure this goes over the head of 99% of the people who would vote for her, but listening to her talking points, it's like she's presenting herself as the "challenger" to the current regime. "I know things are really bad on xyz but I'm going to fix it!" Um, you're the current vice president, what are you doing now?

Are we going to see her screaming "Make America Great Again" next?

You know, just once, it'd be nice if someone (not naming names, as it's not just one person) would own up to their mistakes and admit they were wrong about something.

OK. Please let me know what mistakes you think I made on this thread. Not sarcasm.

Yeah, turns out maybe she's a decent politician after all. I'm sure that does upset you.

The no-tax-on-tips thing is a pretty shrewd call on the part of her campaign.

It's a popular promise, whether economically maintainable or not, but Harris wins on two counts here.

First, it shows she doesn't just go along "party lines." That if someone on the other side of the aisle has a worthy idea, she'll work with it.

The other thing is she clips the wings of a lot of Trump voters who were voting with Trump for the hate but saying they were voting Trump because of the economy. Now they can't hide behind that.

I was wrong about something.

I honked once for Oden.

Please forgive me.
I also honked once for Oden. I maintain it was the right choice without knowing about the risk of future injuries.

If we would have drafted Durant we still would not have won a championship and he would have left to join the Warriors anyway. And we would have never gotten Dame.

What if we hadn't convinced Oden to do microfracture? Would he have lasted longer? Would he have ever had a problem? What if we had drafted Durant and also convinced him to do microfracture?

I will say that I honked once with the understanding that there were no medical red flags. I'm still not sure if there were.

But if there were and I was aware of it I may have honked twice.

It’s so cute when someone described politicking to a grown adult as if it were some insane hack or hidden secret and not how every nominee has acted since the dawn of politics. How many elections have they actually seen before?

well, you were the one who said we should own our mistakes, @julius so why get upset when we try?

Tell us what you think about J.D. Vance going on the talk shows this morning and saying he and Trump support expanding the child tax credit. You know, the Biden-Harris plan.

They support it? Didn't the Republicans just block that credit in the Senate?

Vance also criticized Democrats for calling Republicans weird. They shouldn't resort to name calling.
Has he read Trump tweets?

Yep. Vance didn't show up for the vote. But he was on two Sunday morning interviews he not only supports it but he wants it to be larger than Biden-Harris have put forward.

I'm a person who judges based on actions, not words.

Of COURSE a politician is gonna say that whatever they are doing is going to be better and bigger than their opponents.

But if their actions don't line up for it, how does anyone stand to believe it?

Dude didn't show up for the vote. If you're against it, put your name on paper saying nay or if you're for it, "ya"

Otherwise shut all the way the fuck up.

That was funny.

funny you brought up (in a round about way) L&O, since every time you post or message me, I imagine you're Sam Waterston. But not from L&O (I have never seen a single episode of that show or any of the variations of it), but as Charlie Skinner from The Newsroom. Minus the likability, intelligence, fatherly and leadership bits of course.
