This is getting better and better.

The Biden Administration rolled out its plan to further cut prescription drug prices with a presser just now, which will continue to wrap up the older American vote.

Tomorrow, Harris is proposing a federal ban on price gouging. If successful, that should bring down grocery prices a bit.

Bringing out all this stuff right before the election while Trump is reeling and they are in the position to do it. All Trump can do is talk and he can't even stay on topic.

Beautiful to watch.

And - Inflation continues to drop as the economy has stayed strong. Interest rate cuts to begin in September.

I feel like inflation isn’t a huge issue right now. The problems is with people who haven’t had their salaries keep up with the times. Which, is a whole different story.

I’ve never felt price gouged even when it was supposedly at its worst. But I’ve always lived within my means and don’t believe in debt outside of the mortgage.

The people with credit card debt are no doubt going to feel the squeeze of inflation. It’s hard paying all that CC debt and interest, while having a $700+ car payment and then buying things like groceries is a tough pill.

Uber eats? Door Dash? What the hell is that?

I feel like inflation is an issue for people who aren’t very disciplined financially. Inflation was way, way worse in the early 80’s

Wait a minute, @MickZagger. I have no debt and live within my modest means. Every week I pay all bills and update records. But I am a baker. I am painfully aware of cost of butter and eggs. Inflation is cooling but grocery prices still high. It's no longer supply chain, it's greedflation.

Costco is your friend on butter and eggs. Toilet paper too.

One thing my dad passed on to me was an extreme level of frugality.

I drive a 21 year old car and haven’t had a car payment in 16 years. I’m perfectly content with it.

Appreciate suggestion. Not sure if Costco will allow a "trial shop" before committing to a year membership. They are actually pretty close to me.
 
Utilites have risen a lot. PGE raised twice in last 12 months and now a 15% coming Jan.
My wife does the shopping and she very frugal, she overall process are still very high.
I do our budgeting and our monthly food bill has increased at least 20% over last 2 years.
 
Using Amazons subscribe and save helps save money. Most items have a 15% discount, plus free shipping. Sometimes they give an additional first order discount. Found v-8 juice with a 26% first time discount, for a total of 41% off. Cheaper than winco, plus saved a trip. But....

You need to watch those rascals. Sometimes they raise prices between orders, and do not tell you. One time, the price almost tripled.

I understand your apprehension. But the membership pays for itself pretty quickly. Especially for someone like myself with a family of 5 (soon to be 6) and going through a tank of gas a week (I live a 50 minute drive from work)
 
Was not a costco member until last year. Needed new tires for my pickup. Costco beat every other tire store by two years worth of membership. $120.
 
I don't buy bacon or churros. My household is one person one cat.
 
If you get the Costco Credit card you get your membership included. Plus cash back on purchases. Card has no annual fee.
