Is that actually something they do? I too had never heard of that.
I did not either, but check this out, from Marcus Thompson II:
The first shot between the teams was fired before the game.
It's a long-standing tradition for Christians on both teams to attend a chapel service together. Each NBA arena offers this service to the players, and always one time and one room. But multiple team sources confirmed the Clippers broke that tradition and separated the services, informing the Warriors they would have their own service earlier.

I read another article before the game yesterday with some quotes from anonymous Warriors saying they'd never heard of a team splitting the service up and also suggesting that they must have the Warriors built up as some kind of tremendous villain in their heads.
And in response to the rest of your post, Matt Barnes is a legit tough guy. Hes an instigating, irritating, asshole, but hes legit.
The rest are laughable. The TNT crew was clowning on DJ, stating the obvious that you could tell he thought he was being bad shoving the big white guy, and totally realized he bit off more than he could chew when Bogut got right back at him. I don't know shit about the Griffin-MJackson confrontation from last night. I have a hard time believing Griffin would bump a head coach, but who the hell knows. The Warriors clown on him HARD so I honestly don't fault him for pulling some shiesty shit against us. Some of my favorite Griffin vs. Warriors moments:

He had another pretty pathetic 3 pt shot last night but no one on the W's really gave him shit for it, unfortunately.
They're just ****s. They infuriate me, but I can't even get that mad about it because they're just so oblivious. They think they're really hot shit, they think they're really tough. They continually try to punk the Warriors because the W's are sort of a whitebread roster that seldom tries to act tough (Draymond Green excluded) and it backfires in their face when the W's don't backdown and the Clips' collective asshole tightens up.
