Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

Rubio < Westbrook
Martin > Sefolosha
Brewer << Durant
Love >> Ibaka
Pek > Perkins

Bench is a wash.

Coaching goes to Minnesota.

OKC is not that much better if at all.

You can look at your team and say everything you want but its the same as Indiana saying they were better then the Heat. When you don't' have the best player on the floor your at a disadvantage in today's NBA and if your not the heat then you don't have the best player on the floor when Durant steps onto it.
I really hate OKC and would rather have the Wolves win the division then the Thunder again but I can't put any team over them in the NW division while they still have Westbrook and Durant.

Not to mention that whole "defense" thing.

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

You mean the fact that the Wolves are 5th in defensive efficiency this season?

And that doesn't even count tonight.

How long until you post dick pics, boy?

Hickson, in 17 minutes, 3-11, 6 points, 8 rebounds. Wow we dodged a bullet.

I would hope, that since he has an obviously pro Minnesota name, he's not just trolling. But I've wrong once before.

once.

Thats impressive as two of your starters (love/Martin) arent' considered very good at D and ones D has been a running joke for years (Martins).

Asik played 4 mins tonight total. In a game that went to OT. They started Terrence Jones at PF who had a double double in 37mins. Dwight played 42.

Deal coming soon???

I know Robin's playing well and we're gelling right now, but i still wanna keep an eye out. If we can swing a Wes + Meyers for Asik deal (or similar), I'd give it some serious thought.

With hope good Lopez is playing i'd rather stick with Lopez then trade away our starting 2 guard for a guy who could very well just be the backup to our starting center.

Robin is playing better than Asik.

Jason Terry with the Flop similar to Harden against us. Fine his ass

Anthony Bennett's FG% went way up tonight: he shot 3 for 11, up to .048 for the year.

Robin is playing better than Asik.

Asik for Meyers, Freeland, and Crabbe works under the cap and saves Houston a ton of money. Asik is owed $15 million cash next year. We might need to give them a pick or something too.

I don't see them moving him for anything less than a starting quality power forward. I could see a Ryan Anderson for Asik swap. That would make sense.

After losing to the previously winless Jazz, maybe the 3-6 Pelicans realize they could really use a center like Robin Lopez.

What is defensive efficiency?

They're middle of the pack in opponent FG%. Their best rim protector is Gorgui Dieng. They're a smallish team at most positions and have a lot of individual weak links. They seem to be coached well, but they're limited. You think they're anywhere near as good as OKC on that end? I don't.

Coming from anyone but a Warriors fan, this would be justified criticism.

Incidentally, I'd watch the hell out of a Warriors-Wolves playoff series.

Essentially it is points per 100 possessions. Golden State is 3rd in it. The reason the Wolves and Warriors give up so many points is pace of play.

As far as individual defense: Rubio is a top 5 defender at his position, Martin is a liability, Brewer is a hard working and above average defender, Love while still below average has improved a lot just by effort, and Pek is a really good man-to-man defender. And in the fact that they were probably the best rebounding tandem in the league and their defense is actually pretty solid.

I'm sorry but pek is a fucking horrible defender. Your team is damn good, but let's not get carried away here! Lol

I really hope you're not just waiting to post a picture of Oden's schlong like Sean the Sheep Fucker did, because you bring it and I enjoy your takes on things.

He is a horrible help defender, but not a horrible man-to-man by any means. He may be the strongest guy in the league, which means you don't get any ground on him.

His opponent's fg% inside of 5 ft. is worse than people like Marc Gasol and 5-9ft than Splitter's and Bogut's.

This. Especially inside. Jordan gives up consistent deep posts and griffin just doesn't know how to guard.

but they dunk!!!!!!11!

agreed on both posts (yours and yuyuza1). The Clippers won't be a serious threat until they upgrade their brains.

Minnesota has improved their defense, and hopefully Portland will eventually. Both teams are probably mid tier to lower tier playoff teams (and both could end up having craptactular seasons). The Foundation is there for a good team, but I think both are a player away from being upper tier. In Portlands case, it might be a top 3 pick, and in Minnesotas case (I'll let you inject knowledge because I don't know their team well enough).

Agreed. I think each team has that player (in Lillard and Rubio), they just need to take that next step as players (Lillard is ahead of Rubio, though).

Bad thing for Portland and Wolves is it looks like the Thunder have found a quality big in Adams.

The Clippers problem is also their back up bigs. Mullens and Hollins are the type of back ups that the Wolves had when they were winning 15 games.

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

So when is San Antonio finally going to take that step back?

I really thought it was going to be this year, but I was dead wrong.

Less than 10 games into the season. Nothing is real yet. They could be good, they could take a step back.

please no dick pics
