Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

@InsideHoops: No.1 #NBADraft pick Anthony Bennett is shooting 18-of-65 this season, averaging 2.2 ppg on 28% shooting

Might be the only team that has blown more lottery picks than the TWolves.

Was any other team even considering drafting Bennett in the top 5?

Aldridge is .2 blocks away from being on that list.

22.5 ppg, 10.7 boards, 2.7 assists, 1.1 steal, and 0.8 blocks

So freakin close.

Milsap is unconscious tonight! I didn't know he could shoot the three?

Last year or the year before he hit 3 or 4 threes in under minute to give the jazz a win vs Miami.

Wtf was that Teague?!?! Maybe you might want to drive before 3 seconds left on the clock?

Suns are amazing. I can't believe they keep winning

So you can say the suns are amazing when they are beating a team without Kobe or any PG, but we beat a Chicago team that had Rose for 3 of the 4 quarters, and a full squad Indiana team, and somehow it's not good enough or it's because at home?

Tell me that makes sense to someone.

Suns were supposed to be tanking, yet they're about to be 7 games over .500. We were supposed to be pursuing a playoff spot. Compared to expectations, the Suns are amazing.

But so are we.

Compared to expectations, we aren't supposed to be 23-5.

So at the same point in the season, we both surpassed expectations. But for one team (us) we still suck to him, or extenuating circumstances have made it easy for us to win. However, the Suns are exceeding expectations, and they are beating this team, and they are amazing, even though that team, the Lakers, have no one on their team.

So...

I love Isiah Thomas on Sacramento. The kid just knows how to play.

How bad and broken down are Pierce and Garnett? Garnett 3 for 10 in only 19 minutes. Pierce off the bench for 15 minutes, 0 for 7. I think if i went to a game I would want to run on the floor and get down on all fours behind Garnett and start barking!
I almost feel sorry for their owner for trusting this American GM who is not only spending all his money, but putting a bad product on the floor and crippling them for a decade. they traded three first rounders, plus Boston's right to exchange picks in a 4th year, for some guys that it was pretty obvious were already over the hill.

A big part of it is coaching. Good coaches know how to put players in positions to maximize their strengths and minimize their weaknesses. Kidd just throws them out in the sea to fend for themselves. Brooklyn management and ownership can blame themselves for hiring a coach at the highest level who's never had a job.

Is anyone else kind of laughing at the revisionist history for the Suns? I've seen some articles talking about how ownership "bought into" the new management trying to compete when they were hired when i seem to remember them trading away their starting center for a guy with an expiring contract that probably isn't going to play this season.

Maybe it was addition by subtraction?
