We could have been that good

Yep. Sadly, there were no classic games that we'll look back on this weekend. I guess Andre Miller's 4th quarter was a moment, but that's about it. No fight from Milwaukee or Houston. Later in the series, I guess.

Yeah I watched the whole game just to see Sanders and Asik play. Two centers that have been hyped up around here. I thought they both looked ok, but I can't say they would be difference makers if we traded for them.

I like how active Sander's is, and yes he is better than anyone we have so I wish we had him. But he looked like a twig out there. I really would like to get someone "thicker" and more physical.

It's ridiculous how good the Heat and Thunder are

Not fair

Don't sleep on the Spurs.

Wanting to see the Heat go down, I'd rather see the Spurs come out of the West than the Thunder, permitting that Ginobili can stay healthy.

However, TNT had a pretty crazy statistic they threw out for the Thunder during the game's garbage team. The Thunder finished with a 9.2 point differential, and apparently every team that has had at least a 9.2 point differential since they expanded to 16 teams in 1984 has gone on to win the title.

I looked that up and couldn't find much on a quick search, but I did find six teams that finished 9.2+ in point differential since they expanded, and they all won the title that season ('86 Celtics, '87 Lakers, '92 Bulls, '96 Bulls, '97 Bulls, and the '08 Celtics).

What was Miami's differential?

+7.9

There's also a caveat to that statistic. Apparently the '94 Sonics that lost to Dikembe's Nuggets in the first had a 9.1 differential, LeBron's '09 Cavs had an 8.9 differential and lost in the conference finals, the '97 Jazz were at 8.8 and lost to the Bulls, and your '91 Blazers had an 8.7, and well, you know that story.

So, yeah, a 9.2+ differential seems to check out for a 6-0 championship record, but I just found four teams that didn't win it with win differentials between 8.7 and 9.1, so take that statistic for what it's worth. ESPN/TNT are great at skewing obscure statistics, but it's still an interesting stat none the less.

The 91 Sonics didn't lose to the Nuggets. The 94 Sonics did.

My brother just reminded me that we went to Clippers/Grizzlies just a few years ago when they both sucked. I was falling asleep. Can't remember who won.

You have a brother? Does he post here?

I really want Memphis to win this series. Blake Griffin annoys the shit out of me.

Blake has replaced KG as the guy I'd like to see embarrassed on a nightly basis.

btw, now that the Blazers aren't playing them, I really like Marc Gasol.

So when are Gasol and Randolph going to show up?

I'm fine with that Marc's done so far in the first half. It's Randolph that's really disappointing. It's almost like he's throwing the game the way he's missing some of these rebounds.

1 rebound in the half? The man averages 11.2 on the year. Several of those missed rebounds were right in his hands too.

Both the bigs are being to passive offensively. They need to score more points in the paint. Make the Clips bigs work.

3 brothers and 2 sisters and they don't post here as far as I know.

Defend Marc to the hilt when he does the same thing (game 1) and throw Zach to the Wolves. Got it. From my seat at Staples, the Clippers look like by far the better team.

Randolph's limping around, wonder if somethings been bothering him the last few games.

Z-bo just looks like the games too fast for him right now. He needs to get that playoff mojo back.

Where would the Grizz interior defense be without Gasol? Randolph is flat out awful.

The Clips are such a big flop. Thats why I don't like them. I can finally pinpoint why I can't stand that team.

I have never rooted harder for Zach Randolph than I am tonight.

I FUCKING HATE GINGER GRIFFIN

Thats why there nickname is Flopcity. CP3 and Griffin are two of the biggest floppers in the NBA, its hard to watch at times.
