Jason Kidd was one of my favorite players when i was growing up, Lonzo is pretty close. Do i have to like a Laker now? :dunno:

Excellent, the better he plays in SL the saltier lakers fans will be when he gets scouted and is completely shut down. Dude is still a storm trooper on the court (inaccurate shooter), which means he will be pretty easy to shut down.

This game might have turned his SL around, but it hasn't changed my opinion on him as a player.

If one of our players did that you'd be proclaiming him ROY

I think you've mistook me for some other poster.
Or would you like to go back and look at the game thread from last night?

He made those 3 tonight due to he was just behind 3 point line. The other games they force him back farther off 3 point line. So if you force back 2 more feet back he misses the shot. So where shot those 3 is his range from out there. But he will be pretty due to his passing skill getting other players easy shots.

I like Bell but I also know this there no playing time for him with defending champions.

Yeah they are pretty deep at PF with Green, Looney, and West. He will need an injury to get minutes. But nothing wrong with a rookie sitting, watching, and learning his first year. Kerr plays a lot of players throughout the regular season. He will find some time for him in all the blowouts

Looks like the Blazers play today at 7:00 p.m.?

Does anyone know what channel?

So 6 points on 3-5 shooting, 16 rebounds, 3 blks, 1 foul, lock down perimeter defense

We could use a player like that

Nice job by Bell
Too bad judging someone on 3 games in summer league is dumb. Or is it ok because he's playing well?

I'm sure you'll try to find a grey area to why these quotes of yours are different.

No grey area. I was told being disappointed in Collins after a couple of summer league games was dumb because it was sumner league. The quote you used of mine was a mock reply on Swanigans game so far, and how well he was doing.

I think its fine to judge someone early. As long as its not your final judgement

Said it before the draft and I'll say it again, Knicks should have drafted smith jr.

He was #2 on my final board.

He's been the most impressive player this summer imo and has all the tools and skills to be one of the more dynamic scoring guards in the league.

Is Dylan Ennis the future of the NBA?
Haven't we gone over this already?

Whether you're the 10th pick going 4-20, or an undrafted rookie scoring more points than any other undrafted rookie in summer league history, it's all the same. It doesn't matter at all. Playing well, or playing like shit is the same because it's summer league

Every time Ding or Singh touch the ball the fans go nuts. They are chanting "Ding ding ding ding ding" and booing the other Mavs players if they shoot instead of passing to one of them. This shit is absolutely hilarious and completely awesome.

Just got done watching Ball play and don't see the hype. Weak and soft on D. Still have trouble shooting the 3 and nothing really great on passing and maybe it due to stronger guard playing against him. He had 2 shot block tonight due he goes weak to the basket. I will tell his father he won't be the rookie of the year. To me smith and Fox are better point guard. Tomorrow Smith and Ball goes head to head.

It's stupid to judge Collins poorly because of his offense during a couple summer league games because 1.) His defense more than made up for it and wasn't being noticed and 2.) His offense is dependent on the guards he's playing next to. He's not a guy you give the ball to and expect him to go get himself a bucket. He is a guy that will make defenses pay to sagging off onto C.J. and Dame. R.J. and Jorge isn't C.J. and Dame, so Collins didn't get many good looks. 3.) He's playing in his hometown, and because the guards aren't getting him good looks, he started forcing, which isn't his game.

This is a completely different situation than being excited about Swanigan. Rebounding and Motor are two things that translate to all levels in all situations, so it's fair to say that what he's shown in summer league is what he'll bring to the league. He's also shown he can hit an open jumper, which he'll get tons of playing next to Dame, C.J., and Nurkic.

Don't use two completely separate situations and pretend like you don't know the difference, and therefore S.L. doesn't matter at all or it can't be used to project players going forward.
