Love the big homie, you can tell the dude is a competetor. Rip City is going to love this guy.

"My goal is to win an NBA championship"

How often do you hear rooks talking about being ROY, getting better, proving themselves, etc...

You don't hear a lot of rookies choosing to set the bar at its highest, coming out and saying that their goal is to win a ship.

Compare that to Collins and the difference is polarizing.

Is it just me or do we already have someone on our team who sounds a lot like Collins in this interview?

Not trying to get ahead of myself, we will have to see what happens before coming to any conclusions... He's definitely doesn't have the same mentality as Biggie.

When you compare the two, one of those certainly seems more confident and with more of an attitude. Then again, he is a year older and a lot can happen in a year's difference.

Who....Meyers?! I don't get that at all. I get "New experience.... but locked in." Collins doesn't look the least bit thrown for a loop. Meyers would be thrown off in a hoola hoop contest.

Here's a good rookie interview. He was so happy to be backing up Ricky Green.

I had no idea the Blazers really wanted to take him at 19. We ended up taking Bernard Thompson instead.

lol. Collins lost his first interview.

This place sometimes...

Yeah I don't get how his interview was "bad" in anyways..... But I guess when you're a tall white guy from the US you can do no good

Based off the two interviews I'd guess that Biggie stole Collins lunch money. Collins talked better about swanigan than he did himself.

Sources say when Collins saw Nurk his body naturally shrunk 4 inches so he could play SF in Blazer practices. Trying to confirm.

This belongs in the Nurk facts thread dude. (Is it okay if I call you 'dude' or does that offend you?)

nik stauskas said something similar during the interview after he was selected by the kings.

So far the 1st rounder hasn't disappoint in these other 2 summer league and some of the 2nd rounder have play decent.

So unless a guy promotes himself and talks tough he sucks??

This place sometimes. Talk is talk. All I've ever heard or read about Collins is that he's a competitor and he plays tough. Now based on an interview he's suddenly a wimp. SMH

Yea maybe we should draft on only interview and never watch them play. All I heard that both players are quick learner on floor so that mean they actually got something between there ears.

Biggie is mature - he's had to have been to get here. Wouldn't be surprised if he was our starting PF by year's end. Zach is multi-talented though, so I'm not counting him out.

Disappointed by the no day 2 videos :(

So Portland liked Stockton.

Call heads and trade Paxson an 19 to move up to get Stockton

Hakeem
Drexler
Stockton

Trade Paxson to move up for Stockton and draft Jordan

Jordan
Drexler
Stockton

Either way, fucking Blazers

In the first scenario Hakeem has a career ending injury his 1st or 2nd year. In the 2nd scenario, same thing happens to Stockton and Jordan.

Why do you wish injury on these guys? Fucking MM! :)

I definitely remember that the Blazers wanted Stockton. I was disappointed when we couldn't get him. Then he became one of those players who I disliked on the other team but would have loved as a Blazer.

Jake Layman is going to be a Portland version of Gordon Hayward. Bearded, willing to drink Pabst Blue Ribbon, and does not consider himself a free agent destination.

I don't know what to make of Layman yet. I didn't see him enough last year. He has kind this lazy awkward running style and then you see him make this amazing dunk and you're like.... WTF! If he turns out to be a decent player then Olshey will be smiling somewhere.
