Its funny, because I feel as strongly as I do about Stotts because of how much of a fan I am.

I want Portland to be doing what Yoronto is right now, amd I want that bad. I'm fully convinced that it'll never happen with Stotts as coach.

Stotts uses a very passive defense intended run shooters off the 3-point line and to force teams to take low-value midrange shots. Therefore they switch everything causing mismatches all over the floor. That's why POR is always ranked high in 3-pt FG% defense. During the regular season when you play less talented teams that aren't able to adjust and settle for what POR is giving them, it works. But once you get in the playoffs the teams are more talented and have the ability to adjust more easily. They are not going to settle for the midrange jumper, they will pass the ball and kill the defense just like GSW did.

This is why we saw that ridiculous defensive strategy against Steph in Game 1. Stotts thought that they could entice Steph into those midrange shots if they dropped the big into the paint. But this is Stephen Curry. He will never pass up 3s for midrange jumpers, yet pass up wide open 3s.

And until we have a change in the coach or he changes his defensive philosophy, this team will be way off. The problem is, at this stage in his career, Stotts is who he is. Most likely he's not going to change. And they just extended him...

I didn't play basketball at a community college. I was busy playing division one baseball. I even called a homerun and bet the opposing teams second baseman. I actually hit it out of a major league ball park What sport did you play in college?

Lol, right. I did play in a one pitch tournament once. My roommate and i missed the first day as we were driving back from 2 weeks vacation of watee skiing and beer drinking and we both still managed to make the all tournament team Guess we were just lucky.

No, because of injury. I cooked their team during the summer on my recruiting trip. Went there in September and my knees failed me. Theres been swelling below my kneecap thays bigger than my kneecap every since. Excruciatingly sharp pains during explosive movement. Held me back, and I barely played because of that combined with us having the deepest talent pool in the entire league. That's the truth. But I guarantee you that I'm better than you ever were.

Aww, okay, so you only played in a couple games then? Hard to imagine playing in very many games with such excruciating pain. Glad you were able to survive.
