I know this might be off topic but I want to hear opinions on this.
The guy mentioned in the report doesn't play, so regular people/fans don't even know his name. But the guys signing the checks (AKA owners) surely know who he is. If Olshey didn't sign an extension would you have been willing to fire him to hire this guy? Shouldn't the Lakers have signed him instead of the overrated MJ? Wouldn't Michael Jordan pay this dude to save his crappy Hornets?
Who doesn't want a guy who has turn Canada into a crazy place? Every owner just dream of what the Raptors look like right now. EVERY OWNER ...
And when you are a pathetic franchise like the Wizard ... desperate for headlines ... why wouldn't you do this?
The Raptors GM will NEVER beg for a job again in his whole life ... aka Ujuri is now a better name than Colangelos ... Does he have kids?

Not off topic at all. No question the Toronto Raptors have done a good job. Lots of things fell into place and they had some luck. The combination is very special.

Their GM refused to play safe. Took some bold risks . Could have blown up in his face ...
Are the Blazers in the same positions? Aren't we playing it "too safe"?
Let's face it, when you have been a loser for 40 years ... what's the point of playing it safe?
Do the Blazers need to rethink their strategy ... given the Durant injury? Should we risk it all?But we need a GM who has the guts to do it ...

Interesting response.
Even more so with a thread on the front page of this site about Olshey throwing anything and everything at KP to get PG.
If he did it there who else has he also tried to get?
Is he doing everything he can to get more this summer?
Also maybe not so much a loser for 40 years?
Just sayin.

I think SA was as instrumental in engineering that trade as the Raps GM. Spurs wanted Leonard east and the key player received.

You say that every game yet you're in here posting about it. I just enjoy good nba basketball. Sucks we're not playing but this is where we need to be.
Im not watching tonight, im playing with my kids. From what Ive seen though it was just ok NBA basketball. Its only competitive because of injuries, not that, thats Toronto’s problem.
