AD is great but he is also injury prone and LeBron is getting older... which roster would you rather have?

Dame / Simons
CJ / FA? / Trent
Porter / FA? / Layman
Collins / Aminu / Skal
Nurk / Kanter / Leonard

? / Bonga
Hart / ?
LeBron / ?
Davis / ?
? / ? / Wagner
Depends on what the ?'s end up being lol.

The Lakers would also be at over $77 million in salary with LeBron, AD, and Hill.

Somebody has probably already posted this but I just read Klay has torn his ACL? Whew...that's a huge setback for him in a contract season

For s&gs...

Kemba / Rondo / Bonga
Hart / Bullock
LeBron / Hill
Davis / Muscala
McGee / Chandler / Wagner
They couldn't sign Kemba (unless it was way less than the max). They also don't have bird rights on Rondo, McGee, or Bullock.

Kemba said he'll take less money to improve the team...loyalty..great thing
Saying and doing are two different things. Who is gonna wanna play for Charlotte? Kemba is awesome but he can’t lure any good FA to play there.

Lol can you fill in the blanks then? I don’t know what the hell is possible with the Lakers in the event that AD is traded there and Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma, and picks are traded away.

I don’t think it is, our core is closer knit, we have better coaching, and better shooting.
If Lebron's healthy though, he might still be a top 2-3 player in the NBA, and AD's a top 10 guy. We have Dame who is top 10 and our next is is like the 25-30th?

Well, they'd have to wait until the new calendar year in order to make that trade because they currently can't come up with enough money to make that trade work until they have cap space. They'd have to sign guys like they did last year which didn't go too well.

Lol I love how fucked the Lakers are

LeBron really should just request the trade already... no one would blame him.

Retention is key for small markets. The Bucks are likely gonna do all they can to retain Brogdon/BroLo/Middleton, Mirotic is likely odd man out.
I know you gotta keep your players, just really think thats also how small market teams hurt themselves, by over paying guys like that. Not that Middleton is a bad player he’s very good.

Really think they’ll max him?
He’s good but that seems like too much to me...
He was an all-star this year. They pretty much have to do that (or something close) to keep him. Let's put it this way, if CJ was a free agent this year would you rather pay him the max or let him walk for nothing?

Well it would depend on a couple factors like how good is Simons, and would I have a max slot if I let him walk?
I get your point though, I guess he probably is gonna get that max money.

The only way Milwaukee would have significant cap space this summer is if they let both Middleton and Brogdon leave for nothing. That doesn't seem like a smart strategy. There aren't any realistic options in free agency better than those two that would sign in Milwaukee.
