80 million for Oubre? Ooof
Houston is not on the verge of landing Jimmy Butler lmao.Lakers could possibly have 3 top 5 players. At worst, they probably have 2 top 5 players and a top 20 player.
Houston is on the verge of adding Jimmy Butler (according to media AND vegas odds).
Utah adds Mike Conley. Denver will be better.
In OKC, Russ and PG are both going into next season healthy. Roberson is back healthy.
Neil, it’s your time to shine brotha. You need to make something happen by Sunday. If we run it back, we’re likely a 5 or 6 seed at best and will have definitely missed our championship window. If you can find a way to add a 3rd piece, with Nurk coming back into form, I think we have a starting 5 to compete with anyone in the west.
Find a way.
I really hope this is true. The more teams that waste precious cap space on average players means the more players that will be stuck without good offers.
Unfortunately this sounds like an agent trying to bump up his client's value though.

Every year theres like a dozen guys who are “good” players but get contracts like they’re great players and every year I think why are teams so desperate for the NBA’s 50-80th best players...maybe
I mean, after 20 years and 3 different CBA's...and after several off-seasons when lots of teams had lots of cap-space resulting in lots and lots of godawful stupid contracts you'd think front offices would have learned their lessons and would practice restraint. But maybe they haven't and after the initial dust settles, the ocean of cap-space will dry up and will leave only a little space league-wide with quite a few decent free agents scrambling thirstily for a shrinking pool of money while smart teams shop in the bargain bin. (I'm kind of proud of the number of metaphors I crammed into one sentence)
the key is not to be in the mad rush at the front of the line throwing out elbows and waving wads of cash. Stand back and stroll thru the doors after the blood has been spilled....I'm on a metaphor roll...or are they analogies?
Vegas favorite meams a lot of people want to bet on them. Doesnt mean its even close to happening.Yea, they're the favorite, why is that funny?
Yea, they're the favorite, why is that funny?
Because they have no cap space and likely have nothing Philly wants in return. Portland has a better chance at landing Butler. Their only path is to find someone to take Capela to help them out (maybe the @#$#$ Wizards will help them).
Personally, I hope they get Butler and lose Capela. I'm sure Butler and Beard can find a way to cover the center position as well and share the ball nicely--while the entire league is driving past them down the lane.
Well, for portland to have a better chance would mean that butler wants to come here over houston. So thats not the case
According to people who know much more than you or I, it is very possible. Likely, even.Houston is not on the verge of landing Jimmy Butler lmao.
Portland has zero chance of getting Butler. Butler would never agree to a S&T hereBecause they have no cap space and likely have nothing Philly wants in return. This dude has been on the money on so much though. The blazers are the most tight lipped organization in the NBA (along with the Spurs). No way anyone knows what is going on
Not saying he doesnt have sources. He 99% doesnt have Blazer sources. This dude has been on the money on so much though.

what has he broken? This dude has been on the money on so much though.
So Philly is willing to cooperate: https://nesn.com/2019/06/nba-rumors-76ers-willing-to-cooperate-in-jimmy-butler-sign-and-trade/
Not sure if that is good or bad. Boston gets Capella, who they need if Horford leaves, and Houston gets Butler. I still think Houston gets weaker every year as they trade away their defensive players.
Hmm. We are going to need some help on the frontcourt while Nurk is rehabbing. It won't be a pretty first half of the season if we go as-is.
I'm still hoping Olshey fortifies our 4/5 spot sooner rather than later.
Helluva conundrum. We need a (hopefully) short-term replacement for Nurk and permanent replacements for Aminu and Hark....and we have the assets to maybe find one guy. Which should be top priority.
Conley days before among smaller bits of news. You can go read through his timeline. I was skeptical at first too.what has he broken?
Harden, CP3, and Butler seem like a weird mix. Apparently Harden and Butler are close.... now. Lets see what happens when he plays with him.
