OKC has no use for Gallinari. I’d rather have Gallinari than Bazemore. Would they do that trade? It works straight up. Saves them almost $3M.

im literally on tradeNBA trying to find a way to land Gallo right now lol. Would we do that after all the pomp and circumstance of the press conf for Baze?

I think since they did a Press conference with Bazemore there is basically zero chance he gets traded unless its right before the deadline. I dont think NO would do a presser and then trade a guy like a week later, maybe Im wrong.

Any chance of a 3 team trade with okc and Detroit that lands Blake in Portland?

I'd say about zero

Presti is still the GM and he's sure to remember Olshey screwing with him with the Kanter offer sheet. And the division rivalry might be too strong and make him reluctant to get a player like Blake to Portland

but more than that, if Detroit was trading for Westbrook, why would they trade Blake G? That would make no sense that I can see

Alright here is a framework to work from in 2 months once our newly acquired guys can be moved with players.

POR
In: Gallo/Olynyk/Winslow
Out: Whiteside/Bazemore/future protected first

MIA
In: Westbrook/Adams
Out: Dragic/Winslow/Olynyk/Leonard

OKC:
In: Dragic/Bazemore/Whiteside/Leonard (all four expiring)/ 2020 POR 1st
Out: Westbrook/Adams

We get better fits and a SFotF in Winslow who is on a decent contract for 3 yrs. MIA gets its trio of Russ/Jimmy/Adams. OKC gets a pick and clears every large contract they have to start completely fresh next summer.

Annnnd OKC is going back to its minimum FAs they agreed to sign to see if they want to sign with other teams. Alec Burks is now going to GS according to Shams.

They're blowing this up.

I'm sure seeing a lot of trade-Bazemore and trade-Whiteside ideas

looking at the roster and knowing about Nurk's injury, I'm thinking those two guys might be two of the most important players on the roster if Portland wants to compete for playoff seeding and a deep run. Mid-season trades fail as often as they succeed for a variety of reasons

something else: with Portland's situation, those two expiring contracts might actually have more value to Portland than any other team. Blazers may really need the tax-relief of some cap-space next summer

If you're OKC in this scenario, you insist on receiving Winslow in a MIA deal.

In fact, from their perspective, why involve Portland at all? In all reality, isn't the most likely scenario simply Dragic/Johnson+muliple future picks for Westbrook?

Johnson and Winslow have multiple years left I believe and MIA has no tradeable future picks.

Ah, didn't notice Johnson's PO. And also forgot about the picks they gave up in prior deals.

I'm sure OKC would have no problem with Winslow being part of their rebuild, but aside from him, the Heat don't really have much to offer. Even in your original proposal, the Thunder basically get nothing for their two best players.

This is actually decent.

Rondo / Cook / Caruso
Green / Bradley / Daniels
Lebron / KCP
Kuzma / Dudley
Davis / Cousins / McGee

Could have a ton of chemistry issues, but if healthy, I think they'll compete for top 3 in the conference. ugh.

Lebron James will be starting at point guard, and will be playing with Green in the backcourt. That's what Hoopshype is saying Yahoo is saying..

Just checked and the PG--LA deal isn't official. We can still make it a threeway with Gallo ending up in PDX.

Man Galo would be perfect for us. Who cares if we already introduced Bazemore. There are a lot more SG options on the market than guys like Galo. If we made that trade we could even put Trent in the rotation and sign someone like Sefolosha, Shumpert, or Vince Carter as insurance/depth
