I admire how good Baltimore’s front office has been with defensive players!
Tell me about it. We've been good at defensive line players up until the passing of our DL coach, Clarence Brooks a few years ago. LBs for whatever reason do well for us regardless of draft order. Now, it seems that our defensive philosophy is making sure that our secondary is on point and build up the front 7.

There’s really not a lot of NTs worth taking early in the draft, it’s more 3T heavy.
Yeah. It is more likely to see the Packers select WR and OL in the first two rounds. Maybe ILB. I guess TE if they believe the right one is available by the 2nd round.

Run-stuffing interior linemen aren't worth high picks. If you're taking a defensive tackle early, he needs to be someone who can generate a lot of interior pass rush in addition to stopping the run, IMO. You can get big bodied space-eaters in the middle and late rounds.

As a dolphins fan I hope Tua lasts until 5 or just move up with the stockpile to 3 to get him

i think the Fo has been planning to draft for him 2 years now..don’t let it slip away

Tua is special. I go back and forth as to the superior prospect between Burrow and Tagovailoa. Burrow had that one season that was beyond remarkable, but Tagovailoa has been incredible for several years. If I had to take one, I'd probably take Burrow just because he isn't coming off an injury, but I think Tua is going to be a superstar.

I can see the Lions trading down to the Dolphins or Chargers for more draft capital.

It might be two 1st round picks to do that.

Here's a link of the Dolphins possibly trading up to #1 and that was an expensive package.

thats for burrow tho and this is only moving up 2 spots...it shouldn’t take two first rounders and seconds...

I used to play an nfl gm game on a dolphin forum that was much like the one we did last offseason for the nba.

We would use a trade value chart like this https://www.pro-football-reference.com/draft/draft_trade_value.htm

which I feel like is pretty accurate. The difference in #3 and #5 is 500 points which is an early seconder and the dolphins have #39 valued at 510

of course the lions have a negotiating advantage.

Id give them #5, #39 and 2nd next year. Or #5 and #26 and call it a day

I like the value chart concept ever since Jimmy Johnson used it. I guess it depends on the value the two teams think it's worth for the player to be picked.

Some teams are more desperate than others. Some teams will massively overpay. That's happened in previous drafts.
