Some teams are more desperate than others. Some teams will massively overpay. That's happened in previous drafts.

Definitely fair in a vacuum. The question will be how many teams might be angling for that pick. If Tua is a hot commodity (and he should be, in my view), other teams may be trying to trade up to #3 or even #2. Like the Luck/RGIII or Wentz/Goff draft. Like those drafts, this draft has a Big Two for quarterbacks and a huge drop-off after them.

You know what my concern is, Im always scared of how guys like Tua will do on an NFL team that cant protect them the same way their O-Lines did in college.
 
So instead of M*****l B******s, we get Mr. Wolfe instead. I'm starting to think that this MAY be an annual thing where a former Bronco becomes a Raven and vice versa. Don't worry, you two Packers fans, he may only be with us for a season.

We are looking for DT of our own. A run stuffing, 2-down NT to be exact. We'll see if that happens via trade or the draft.

I used to play an nfl gm game on a dolphin forum that was much like the one we did last offseason for the nba.

The thing that has to factor in is demand though. If no other team is willing to give up 2 firsts then your trade suggestion is pretty reasonable. If multiple teams are trying to move up to 3 (or 2 even) that is going to make the compensation much higher.

Its been a few months, but I heard one guy say best case scenario he plays in the nfl for 6-7 years before his hip is bad enough he can no longer play. It was supposedly some sports medicine guy. Now who knows if he knew what he was talking about, but without all the physicals and stuff, I really wonder if that scares anyone off.

Hard to tell without access to his medicals. If healthy I think he's by far the best QB in this draft but his injuries will probably prevent him from getting there.

Without the hip thing I'd also take him over Kyler Murray.

Lots of teams have future picks they can add too though.

Oh that seems pretty good. They really need outside help. I don't know what to expect from him, but I think that may end up being a good pickup.

If healthy, I think he's probably the best quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck.

And by "healthy" I mean "doesn't have a degenerative issue or something that will affect his ability to throw like before."
 
I saw someone discussing WR Curtis Samuel being on the trade block. He'd be a great Emmanuel Sanders replacement for the 49ers at most likely not too high of cost since the Panthers just signed Robby Anderson. Maybe they'll trade back from 31 and add several picks of which they could use one to acquire him. Add Jeudy/Lamb at 13 to Curtis Samuel and Deebo Samuel and they have a nice WR trio for years. The only thing that sucks is having two receivers with the same last name and the confusion that presents watching, lol.

PS Football moves are all we have! We need another big trade!

Surprised you're that high on him. I find "judging" guys like Tua really, really hard. When you're on one of those teams that has a huge talent advantage in almost every game, I personally find that makes me question my, "eye test" quite a bit more. - Not criticizing you, just find it interesting.

He's got everything you want in a modern QB other than size but that hasn't been a huge issue lately in the NFL.

It's always hard to separate a quarterback from the talent around him, but I think the stats combined with the eye test validate that he was an incredibly talented triggerman for an incredibly talented team (much like Tom Brady's ridiculous 2007 season). He makes great decisions and he's incredibly accurate to all levels of the field. He's not a burner, but he's mobile in the pocket and can run for a first down (much like Luck).

I'm not sure though... We haven't really seen what he can do when he has pressure in his face. We know he (has been) mobile enough in college, but the type of pressure he'll face in the NFL will be a lot more than what he saw in like 90% of his games in college. You might be right, I hope we find out this fall!

Yeah, I saw an article about that. (C) Samuel would be a nice addition, depending on what the Panthers would want. If they trade back from 31, they could probably recoup a mid-second round pick and a third round pick. I could see flipping the third round pick plus a pick in the third round next year for Curtis Samuel.

His 2nd half performance as a freshman in the National Championship game was about as pressure packed of a situation you could have. I realize it's a different kind of pressure but he didn't have a lot of time to throw in that game either.
 
@TorturedBlazerFan , I've been looking at this year's WR prospects and I like the chances our Packers may land two of them in the first 3 rounds.

1st round if they are available
WR Justin Jefferson
WR Denzel Mims

Our Packers may decide to go with ILB in the first round if they are available and target wideouts in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. I would be happy with the following selections:
ILB Kenneth Murray - 1st round
or
ILB Patrick Queen - 1st round

WR Michael Pittman Jr - 2nd round

WR/TE Chase Claypool - 2nd/3rd round

Lastly, our Packers may decide to trade back into the 2nd round and receive more picks in later rounds.

It Pittman Jr is available in the 2nd Id take him.
