New York Times mock….. I’ve seen two different mocks and looks like we will pick the former Dallas starting PG? Will be interesting learning all these new players.

I'll be curious if they would go with Arike if the opportunity presents itself. She'd certainly be the biggest name that the Fire could acquire as a former fringe MVP candidate. She's also become really inefficient of late, shooting 36% last year. The Fire seem to want to lean into the analytics, and I can't imagine that Arike looks good there, but there has got to be a certain appeal of having the more accomplished, WNBA version of Jamal Crawford on board to generate fan interest and some exciting highlights.

Looking at the expansion mock draft, I can’t believe the Fire is going to pass on Caitlin Clark. This smells of Bowie over Jordan 2.0

Maybe they assume nobody crazy good will be left unprotected? Better to pick one higher in regular draft?
6 versus 7 in college draft, and then 2 instead of 1 in expansion
