So, when do we get to read: Trail Blazers have assigned their entire bench to the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League.

Seriously, I say we send down Freeland, Babbitt, Claver, Barton and Nolan Smith and call up Idaho's starting five. How could they possibly be any worse? Our bench scored 4 points last night against the worst team in the league. I'm pretty sure my Wednesday night rec league team would have been able to score more than 4 points given comparable minutes.

Send those five down to let them get some serious PT playing together and let Idaho's starters suck backing up the Blazers starting 5. Sounds like a win:win to me. Our young back-ups get to play and hopefully boost their confidence, and our bench would most likely be better (couldn't really be any worse in any significant way).

What does our bench average?

According to hoopsstats.com 12.3 ppg. Second worst is the Lakers' bench at 21.1 ppg.

Just FYI, Washington leads the league in bench scoring at 45.5 ppg. No wonder they beat the Blazers last night. Even if our starters are better, their bench is almost 4x as good as ours. Unless we played our starters 48 minutes each, we never stood a chance.
