Ask him for sure, maybe suggest he talk to Brian Wheeler for a feel for it, and then give his contact info Sly if he's okay with it.

Just landed in Cali......... The season is officially on!

Everytime I see you sitting next to Rice on a plance, Rice always has this look of "How the hell do I always get stuck next to this guy?"

Haha! Actually he begged me to, cause he didn't want to stuck next to somebody he couldn't stand! Rice loves The HCP!

I don't really see much of difference in Brandon from what we saw in 2010-2011. I'm cringing whenever he runs because I don't want his legs to buckle.

Oooh he looked really good there. Good lift on the hook shot.

Brandon 13 pts....... not bad. I think as long as they monitor his minutes and hold him out of back to backs, he'll do fine. But knowing Brandon, he will never want to sit.

Championship NBA teams have lost preseason games against Euro teams. It doesn't mean anything. Your Euro fetish is disturbing.

I love his Euro fetish. It really turns me on. This board needs expertise in such things. NBA teams used to have too much pride to lose to a foreign team. Rasta, do you have a list of all such losses in history?

I love it!

Waiters last game...... 14 minutes/1-7 for 2 points/ 4 T.O.s

I have a Euro fetish like Republicans think Democrats have a fact fetish. Why know stuff when you don't have to?

I am a huge Brandon Roy fan. But i got to say it is killing me right now that he killing it on the court and the Blazer suck. I think I have to start hoping he has bad games.

I'm at a bad place with NBA basketball right now!

Couldn't agree more. Watching this game from tonight and he just dropped his fade away post J...... nothing but net. Hurts my heart!

And why in the hell is Kobe playing in preseason games. I can understand the last 2 maybe, but what does he need to work on? Players like him don't get rusty.

Not gonna lie--more than a little interested in the BOS-BKL preseason game about to start on TNT.

To be fair they have Deron Williams.

Guess Odom is having issues already down in ClipperLand.......

Lamar Odom was held out of the Los Angeles Clippers' preseason game on Wednesday against the Jazz.

Odom's knees are bothering him, but he also is dealing with weight and conditioning issues.

"He's got to work through some conditioning things and some health things right now, which he's doing," Vinny Del Negro said. "Yeah, I wish he was in a little bit better conditioning, and he wishes he was. But he's just got to continue to work every day and I'm sure he'll get there eventually."

Bogut still not ready to play! Bet they'd rather have Monta back!

Andrew Bogut is scheduled to have his left ankle examined on Monday in Los Angeles.

Bogut fractured the ankle in January and underwent surgery in April.

Mark Jackson said Bogut is "still a ways away."

Bogut wants to play in the Golden State Warriors' regular season opener on Oct. 31st.

Bogut won't play in an exhibition game even if he checks out at 90 percent, according to a source.

Lakers want LeBron............

The Los Angeles Lakers are positioning the franchise to pursue LeBron James in 2014, according to the thinking of several executives from rival teams.

James can opt out of his contract as soon as 2014.

The Lakers are on pace to have enough cap space to sign a maximum contract player like James as the contracts of Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace, Steve Blake and Jordan Hill expire following the 13-14 season.

"It's not a mistake that all those deals end the same year Kobe's does. They have probably been planning for their next phase for a while," said one general manager. "The Busses and [Lakers GM] Mitch [Kupchak] are always thinking about the next big deal."

James has given no indication that he is interested in leaving the Heat, but he is still expected to opt out in 2014 since he is not currently on a true max contract.

"The agent part probably doesn't matter. LeBron is the best player in the league and he's making less than the max, so unless he's seriously hurt he's going to opt out in 2014, if only because I would assume he wants and deserves to get a true max," said one league executive. "Even if the Heat win the next two titles there's a feeling that LeBron is going to become a free agent in two years no matter what."

90 Second Rule........

The NBA wants to reduce the time players spend with pregame handshakes and rituals that have become increasingly prevalent in recent years.

Players must be ready for tipoff 90 seconds after player introductions are finished.

"There's a 90-second countdown, it is placed on the clock," NBA spokesman Tim Frank said. "At 30 seconds, there's a warning horn and alert by the refs. At the end, teams need to be ready to tip off or face a delay-of-game warning."

Games have routinely taken five minutes or longer to begin after the starting lineups were announced.

"I personally don't like it," Kevin Durant told The Oklahoman. "Every player in this league has routines they do with their teammates, rituals they do before the game and before they walk on the floor. The fans enjoy it. You see the fans mimicking the guys who do their stuff before the game. To cut that down really don't make no sense."

Maybe he was hanging with Boris Diaw all summer!

Hey, hey now! Let's not act like the NBA is like the MLB!

I watched the Tigers/Yankees game today, and as much as I hate baseball and how out of shape most of their players are, the Tigers put it into an entirely new perspective for me. Watching the game was like watching the "before" part of a Weight Watchers commercial.
