Z-Bo had a modest night statistically - 15/7. That line might look like a blight on his game log, but watching the game, Z-Bo played great. The Grizz just played fast/small ball against the Hornets and went to Rudy Gay for most of their offense. The Hornets were an odd match-up problem for them tonight, and the solution was to play Rudy at the 4, play a lot of Q-Pon, and only rely on our half-court post advantage sparingly.

Grizz are now 14-3. Next three: vs. Atlanta, @ Phoenix, and @ Denver.

I think there's a good chance of the Grizz going 2-1 in that stretch. The Atlanta game can be a trap game, traveling back overnight to play a good team, and Denver has been a match-up nightmare for this roster for a while.

Derrick Williams wants out of Minny

Derrick Williams' agent, Rob Pelinka, has not formally requested a trade for his client, but he has asked the Minnesota Timberwolves about the possibility of parting ways due to lack of playing time, according to a team source.

The Timberwolves, however, let Pelinka know that they will first wait to see how Williams and Ricky Rubio mesh on the court once Rubio returns from a torn ACL.

"We told him to wait for our team to come together," the source said. "Wait for Derrick to play with Ricky (Rubio). When they played together last year, Williams benefited greatly."

Williams, the No. 2 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, is averaging nine points in just 19.9 minutes per game this season.

It is most likely that Rubio will return for a home game on Dec. 15 against the Dallas Mavericks.
